BG Knocc Out is so nice on this track, he actually freestyled his verse when he was high. And yes, he was "really a player" in the sense that he was a member of the Nutty Blocc Compton Crips and went to prison for attempted murder. I also recommend listening to DPG Killa by BG Knocc Out and Dresta if you want to hear more of them.

BG Knocc Out was LITERALLY the little brother in the room at the point when they recorded. Apparently the produced beat was longer than expected so they needed a short additional part and his older brother (Dresta, the first feature here) asked him if he wanted to give it a shot freestyle. Didnt quite work out but he came up with a part few days later. He told this story in an interview with Vlad here on yt.

Oh, and the "kid" you guys mentioned, is BG Knocc Out. He actually originally wasn't even gonna be on the song (according to him). But the tape ran long (on the beat) and they asked him to jump on. So, he did. The other guy rapping is Gangsta Dre'sta. He and Knocc Out are brothers.

@PotawatomiThunderNew
@PotawatomiThunderNew 5 жыл бұрын
James Franco the was 2 specific scenes about Dre in the second half that kinda made me roll my eyes. One is when he went in there and punched that dude and started yelling at everyone when Tupac was recording (which doesn’t make sense since Tupac wasn’t with Death Row at that time). And the other was that car chase scene with the cops. I think he said something about everybody fucking with him and then went on a high speed cop car chase with helicopters and shit. The cops did stop Dre in real life, and I think it was like a significant moment for him, but he got pulled over for drunk driving, I HIGHLY doubt it was as spectacular and epic as they made it look in the movie. Scenes like that bug me because everybody knows Dre was not some kind of badass, like who do you think you’re fooling, you know?

You need to understand the whole backstory of the Dre/Eazy beef and how some statements would later turn out to be true (Dre being treated badly at DR etc..) to really appreciate it. During the first verse there is this part where Dresta (the big guy) raps about how Dre and Snoop diss Eazy in their song “Dre Day“ to which Eazy replies “but Dre Day only made Eazy's payday“. The backstory to this is that during the NWA era Dre was signed as an exclusive producer to Ruthless Records (Eazy's label where NWA was signed too). When they had their falling out and Dre was forming Death Row Records with Suge Knight, Suge and some of his henchmen went to Eazy to force him to release Dre from his exclusive contract with Ruthless Records. In the movie it was portrayed that they beat up Eazy but that apparently never happened. So Eazy signed the release papers but he did with a fake name so the release papers were invalid. The whole thing went to court and Eazy had to be compensated (because Dre released an album on another label while technically still being exclusively signed to Ruthless). Allegedly Eazy made 1.5 million dollars off The Chronic. That is the backstory to that little sentence I quoted in the beginning. “And I hope that your fans understand when ya talk about sprayin me / the same records that ya making are paying me.“ Indeed. RIP Eazy

That right there is the Greatest Diss Song of All Time!! It has it all, the Lyrics, Flow, and Excellent Beat. No Vaseline has Excellent lyrics and flow, but let's be honest.....the Beat SUCKS!!!! No Vaseline desperately NEEDED Dr.Dre for that.

The pictures of Dre are back when he was in "World Class Wreckin' Cru" before Nwa. They were an electronic techno band playing break dancing music and were the pioneers to hip hop.

BG knock out,was the young kid.His brother,Dresta, was the other guy rapping, and he also wrote Easy's part. Easy was a Crip,so is the other two. They filmed the video in BG neighborhood, nuttyblock,and the Southside neighborhood. Almost nothing but crips in that video. They definitely won that battle. Death row didn't have shit on Compton city G's!

Min 6:15 the picture is of MC Ren. Like many groups back then there were what five or six at the beginning. Eazy-E (to the best of my knowledge a Compton Crip), Ice-Cube (bro from the hood South Central/Compton), Yella (similar to Cube), MC Ren ("who" was in the picture of dude in the glitter suit, btw ;) ), later "the Doc" and of course Dre (studio Gangster, woman beater; and I suppose by now some type of skills).

for the question at 7:45... from 16-24 is when gang members are the most violent cause theyer stupid and most eager to prove themselves. a famous statistic told to teens in the 90s to convince them to stay out of gangs was the fact that the majority of them end up getting murdered by age 22 cus of that life style
