Real Pilot VS Gamer. Who is better? Captain Joe or PewDiePie in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020?

You may think that it is just a fun video, but I was trying to make some outcomes from the Captain Joe and PewDiePie videos. Of course Captain Joe played the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in more realistic and professional way since he is a real pilot. I was also surprized to see that one of the most subscribed youtuber (Let's call him gamer) PewDiePie also played the FS2020 (Flying Into My House in Flight Simulator 2020). Actulally I like it also. Basically, my friends you need to have some aviation related knowledge of how to fly the airplane. If you don't kwon what is airspeed, stall, angle of attack, you may just crash your airplane. Well, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is far from being the real flight simulator. The X-plane11 and Prepare3D has far more detailed airplanes and better physics, however FS2020 has more perspectives and this new flight simulator will be constantly updated and upgraded. I hope that they will fix all the bugs that it has. Aslo guys the Captain Joe did some custom made checklists and wanted just to sell it for his viewers I would reccoment to purchase those checklists only if you are going to play the flight simulator. If you are going to become the real pilot, please go to flight school (certifired flight training organization) that has all the legal approval for pilot training. Aviation blogers are very good in encouraging people but have no rights to tech you how to fly. So don't take the any of "Real Pilot Plays Flight Simulator" video as your guide for pilot training. We all completely wrong and your certified flight instructor is completely right!

I'm a 55 years old guy from Sweden and I will never be a real life pilot, but I love to fly flight sims. When I played X-plane 11 before MSFS2020, I focused all my attention on the B737-800 because my philosophy was that it is better to fly one aircraft well than ten different ones badly. And therefore I was a bit disappointed that B737 was not included in the new sim, but hopefully it will come soon. As I said, I will never be a real pilot but I enjoy videos like yours because I learn things that gives me an additional dimension to my own flight sim experience. It is so much more fun to fly when you have a deeper understanding of what real flying is about, and you my friend Denis is providing that to us when you share your valuable knowledge with us. So thank you very much and keep on going because I love your videos.

Good analysis! I think PewDiePie could have done much better if he used a joystick or at least an Xbox controller. Jacksepticeye, another popular KZbinr used an Xbox controller and did far better than PewDiePie (he was actually able to land the plane).

Yes, but it could be different in flight school. Wrong training in most of the cases is worse than no training. I would highly suggest to start your training with CFI.

Scary how bad some real pilots are... They use the excuse that the sim is different to real life but if they were as skilled as they think they are they would be able to fly in the sim just as well as in real life.

Sim and real life are not same. You can't fly in a Simulator like in real life. Even Full flight simulator for pilot training is far to be the real plane...
