Had to do a Google Bard search on what Plexus is - now I know. Made it all the way through your tutorial. GREAT WORK & EXPLANATIONS! THANKS!!

Very cool explanation 👍 Can you please give some more info about Curve Tip node? Where to find it?
@deayanstudios11 ай бұрын
Thanks! The curve tip node is actually meant for a hair system. So it's under Hair -> read -> curve tip. The node is made so that you can actually select just the tips of hair systems and adjust the tips of every strand of hair at once. However, you can use the node for any curve and not just hair curves. Which is why we used it in this situation.

Now, I used to use Python scripts for this types of math based simulations (for example, racing bar graphs based on csv values) which was very frustrating, not because of the coding, but because of the fact that render farms typically do not accept scripts for security reasons. I was stuck rendering on my Mac which took forever. With your tutorials, I’m learning so much about geometry nodes and the results can be rendered in a render farm ! I will use my own results from combining your tutorials and rest assured I will give all the due credit. Thank you so much for your generosity and clever tutorials !
@deayanstudios Жыл бұрын
Yes, python scripts are super powerful, but they have their own limitations as well. It's always best to know various different methods of getting similar effects so that whenever the time comes, the best parts of all the techniques can be used to create the desired effect. I'm really glad these videos are helping you with your goals :)

great tutorial! any suggestions for how I could fade the lines in and out as the connections are made? Right now they snap in and out of existence but I want them to slowly fade in as the points become closer and fade out as they get further away
@deayanstudios Жыл бұрын
That's a fun suggestion. I hadn't thought about fading them in and out, but it should be possible. I'll definitely try out a few options and see which ones work. If I come up with something usable, I'll create a tutorial on it.

amazing video and in my opinion much clearer then entagma's tutorial. also now i finally understand the technique for looping the procedural noises at the start of the video. i have seen it used to loop things like ocean modifiers or even smoke simulations/videos but only now i understand how it works. underrated channel.

Just wondering if it's possible to replace some or all of the icospheres with text... 🙂?@@deayanstudios
@deayanstudios8 ай бұрын
Ya, that would be possible. As long as it's the same word that you want repeated. If you want various different words, the process does become a bit more tedious, but it is possible. Maybe someday soon, I'll make a tutorial where we instance random words or numbers onto points and then you could merge the techniques from that with this to get the output you're looking for.

Awesome tutorial! Didn't realise this was possible without loop zone and actually may be even more performant ? Really cool demonstration of storing pairs of data as well. Personally I found it bit harder to keep my concentration with the constant speed of information flow but I don't think it was too fast either. Keep it up and I'm eagerly waiting for next tutorial :)

Hi, thank you so much!! I genuinely appreciate it. I have a tutorial using the loop zone as well and I can confirm that it's much faster to create the plexus line this, without using the loop zone.

when I try to follow up on this, all my curves appear to origin from one single point. I use 4.0, and it is frustrating because I did follow up on the steps, yet only one random point connects to all the other. Any fix?
@deayanstudios9 ай бұрын
Hi, I'm not quite sure why that's happening. Maybe you could send over your .blend file to me or send a screenshot on Instagram and I'll try to look into it. I'm on vacation till March 12th. So I can't guarantee that I'll be able to fix it too soon, but I'll definitely get to it, when I get time. Till then, if you want to create a plexus in version 4.0, you could test out this tutorial, where we do something similar using the repeat zones: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3O3YoF_f5qqi5o I hope this one helps you out :)

The curve tip node is actually a part of the hair options within the geometry nodes. To access it, tap shift+A -> Hair -> read -> curve tip
