Real Pro Wrestling- Season 1, Episode 1 - 121 LBS

Real Pro Wrestling was a wrestling league in the US, which used a combination of Freestyle, American Folkstyle, Sumo, and Greco-Roman wrestling. It was an 8 team league which began operating in 2005.
Some of the biggest names in wrestling at the time competed in this league, and it was AWESOME!
This video is Season 1, Episode 1, which contains the 121 lbs bracket up to the finals.

I hope in the future they could re make another Real Pro Wrestling league. Especially if they did it better than this one was . Would be so cool to watch tbh. Ik not everyone likes wrestling but I still feel like wrestlers and wrestling fans would be exited for it . I also wish there was more tv shows / movies based off of The sport of Wrestling rather than Scripted wrestling

I remember watching this when I was in high school. I was interested in learning real wrestling technique. And that's the only reason anyone would watch this. I love the sport of wrestling, but most people would rather watch dudes like Hulk Hogan.

??? It's highlights? When I read about this on Wikipedia I was so excited to track it down, but I didn't expect to be this disappointed. Can you imagine if MMA was presented to the public like this? UFC would have failed and probably been small scale events and still owned by the Gracies. Wrestlers deserve better than being forced to retire, go MMA, or go pro wrestling when their amateur career is done. something like RPW is needed, but this was never going to be it with this type of presentation. Even if you go past it's highlight reel presentation, it's still disgustingly mid 2000's and already aged like milk in the sun. It looks like a reality TV show, it looks like a group date segment on the Bachelorette. It looks gaudy like American Gladiator/Ninja.

@@StiffMeat did you even read my comment? I complained it was too much like 2000's reality tv. Where did i say i want drama? If anything i said the opposite by my complaint and advocating that amateur wrestlers should have a career option outside pro wrestling.

One of the problems with RPW was they marketed themselves as real and bashed on Pro Wrestling yet they did a bunch if gimmicky stuff that was almost as fake as Pro Wrestling in order to make it more exciting. Like that “power meter” bullshit. That digital meter was completely objective, wasnt it…

This series is the worst no offense I am a huge fan of freestyle Olympic and college wrestling. I’m also a high school wrestling fan when I was in high school RPW real pro wrestling is a failure. Glad that show got canceled because nobody watched it

This is boring and very awkward. Probably the reason that pro wrestling like AEW, WWE etc is far more popular, cuz actual real wrestling is just boring as hell. No other sport is that way. I mean, there's no fake boxing that's more popular than the real one, there's no fake judo that's more poular than the real one, why wrestling? Why is rhe fake wreslting better rhat rhe real?

Pro wrestling never started with the intention to be the standard mainstream version. This could've taken off if the known pro wrestling didn't get corporations so quickly back in the day
