I am getting a 92x performance (whenever my ffl can actually GET it, it's been ordered for a year) and I'm gonna get the slide blackened, as well as a few of the minor tweaks, my only gripe is the Vertec grip.

I always wondered how do they put the new text on the gun on the slide? And is it illegal to carry or shoot? And also does it make the slide weaker?

They grind off the factory markings. It's not illegal to carry or shoot since the slide is not considered a "firearm". It does not weaken slide either because the brigadier slide is thicker.

@@cam-inf-4w5 I bought the whole gun for $700. It’s cheaper that way than just buying the slide separately which is the same cost as buying a whole gun. Engraving and serrations cost $500.

From what I can tell, the LAM that Wesker uses is completely original, but the closest one irl seems to be the surefire.

@@generousghibli6031 You bet. FYI, Steiner never made a model with a red laser. The model only ever came with a green laser. The weapon light retails around $400-$600. The fake ones have the red laser and retails around $60-$80. I might pickup the cheaper one for “cosmetic” purposes.

Customized Creationz did my slide. But I would recommend Middlebranch Machine. 2-4 week turnaround vs 6-8 months.

I'm thinking of building my own Wesker model SE. There's plenty of brigadier Inox Berettas, but in CA, none that have rails for mounting lights are legal due to ammo capacity exceeding 10 rounds (Inox compact being the only exception). I'ma look into the legalities of a separate rail accessory, but what do you guys think of that? Would it ruin the look? I'd think it would look great, so long as I can find the LAM for the Wesker model.

Is the textured part of the grip rubbery or a skateboard/nail file texture?

Gen 1 had a bit of a rubbery feel to them but it loses its texture over time with use. Gen 2 had talon grip tape but was more of a hassle to keep making. Gen 3 (current) is more plastic with a rubbery-ish feel. However, you can sand it down and add grip tape if you prefer.

I just bought a Beretta 92fs yesterday I plan on turning it into Chris's version of the Samurai Edge. I know I need to replace the hammer and trigger so far does anyone know the exact replacement parts I'd need

The hammer does not need to be replaced. Just the trigger, slide stop, rear sight, barrel, guide rod, and internals.

@@killgriffin This is not the most economical solution, and most people will not want to buy another gun to use with these parts, but....the Girsan R9 pistol actually looks very, very similar to Wesker's pistol as far as the frame goes. It is the only Beretta 92 type pistol I am aware of that has an "upswept" beavertail like Wesker's does. The Brigadier type slide on the Girsan R9 is a bit different, in so far as the front sight is fixed like a normal 92FS, but a Beretta 92FS slide (including a Brigadier one) will fit on the Girsan frame. All the other features (the checkering on the front and back of the grip, a full rail, etc.) minus a stainless barrel are pretty spot on.

Shame that the extended inox frame on Wesker's Samurai Edge is of fictional design (you're gonna need an metallurgist who makes gun parts to design that custom frame, which might cost too much). Interesting to note that Wesker never used a suppressor on his Samurai Edge in RE1 (Remake) and RE5. Only in RE7, which by then he is obviously dead.

Actually the 92x performance is as close as you can get to weakens base model

No, it’s not. The 92X Performance has a Vertec frame, it’s single action, and has a frame safety. The M9A1 with a Brigadier slide or 92G-SD will still be the closest gun to Wesker’s Samurai Edge.
