The interview sounds like a police interrogation, she could have used a smile to ease up the atmosphere there. I don't understand why the onus is always on the applicants to prove themselves, the interviewers being a representative of an organisation also have a responsibility to portray their organisation's core ethics and values. Their attitude speaks a load of how they treat their employees.

yeah not to be a party pooper, but the interviewers are trained to stress up the atmosphere and see how the candidates can handle that stressful situation and be professional throughout. Especially if you're going to work for MNCs and yeah no shit they treat their employees coldly. It is how it is. But it's usually the MNCs. Locally based companies and start ups are way friendlier.

If an interviewer starts asking me to dress formally in a skype interview, I'll most likely drop the call there itself. Wouldn't want to work under folks who cares more about my dress than my skills.

you are absolutely incorrect. there's a reason behind why dress codes have been made necessary for considered situations. dressing formally while an interview speaks for your personality, your obedience and confidence too. Working for a company needs you to be responsible and confident and its a general ethic to dress well accordingly.

Formal dress code is very much compulsory inan interview....if you drop the call you are only one who loose the chance.....they are likely to get more applicants....and being rude for such a simple question shows the negative side of your personality and no company would prefer that

Just like some companies have their own filtering criteria , we should have our own. None of the companies I worked on required me to wear formals.

as k p mentioned above dress codes reflect your attitude/personality. it doesn't hurt to dress appropriately especially in professional environment. we have tons of candidates with skills in the market, but how many have the right attitude?

This lady doesn't seem very friendly... Very bossy and rude in my opinion. She can tell the guy was nervous and feeling uneasy yet she made it worse by having this kind of attitude. At least a smile wouldn't hurt. Also,the guy should've worn headphones this is why she couldn't hear him. For a zoom/skype interview headphones are a must first so that you can hear the interviewer and 2nd so that the interviewer can hear you properly. It helps on both sides. Really feels bad for the guy tho...I'm feeling uneasy myself watching this...

Today I give interview that was around 15 minutes, but I hold my phone in stand and after 3 question she said me show me your back camera I think something is here, I did back camera and show to her whole room. And after it she said where is you hold you phone I again did back camera and show to her stand.... I am so worried about it. After it she said me about course structure I give answer in details and also mention name the 10 modules but again she said you have to search about courses structure properly . And at last she said you interview is great but courses search again. And I will give your feedback to your agent..... I am so worried about it. What will happen

What kind of questions is she asking.. "Tell me about yourself"? What is it 1990s? Haven't you read the resume? Why wasting time on questions which are redundant. From my personal experience, Skype interview should only be conducted if the interviewer and the interviewee are living very far apart e.g. abroad. The thing I don't like about Skype is the clarity of voice, background noise, etc, etc. In this video, I would recommend a F2F interview by which the whole technical issue could have been solved...
