I had cancer but I had surgery and didn't have to do the Chemo and lose my hair. I did lose my boobs , I didn't have constructive surgery. I feel like at my age (68) I'm just thankful to be alive ! Praise God !

You mentioned that you're really not afraid of anything. Well I was afraid enough for both of us when you started cutting your hair! Lol! The end result was beautiful, but while you were doing it, I was cringing! And tho it looked beautiful after you curled it, it also looked super pretty right after you were done blow drying it. Ok, Tammy! I watched this last night on my RUKU TV and couldn't believe my eyes. You have such thick, beautiful, and healthy looking hair and you're really going to give yourself a full haircut?? lol My heart really skipped a beat when you said that. I trim my hair all the time, and it's gotten so long now that I hate to wash it, there's just too much of it. Sooooooo, I ordered me some electric curlers today and told my youngest daughter that I want to cut my own hair, like you. To my surprise, she encouraged me to give it a try. Before becoming wheelchair bound, I curled my hair daily or pulled it up in a ponytail when working in the garden or yard. All I can say is please wish me luck, I want my pretty fluffy hair back and you gave me the courage to do it. I'll keep you informed as to how it turned out. Thanks a lot my friend.

My grandma always cut her own hair. She wore it short and after washing it she would roll it into pin curls with bobby pins. Once it dried, she clipped the ends of the curls off. It always looked good😊

Tammy , I love your hair !! You did a great job cutting it and fixing it . Your make-up looks beautiful too . I watched the whole thing . It reminded me of when my Granny used to get my mama to fix her hair . She wouldn't let no one fix her hair but my mama . All of us girls in my family would go upstairs in Granny's bathroom and watch my mama fix my Granny's hair . We would have the best time laughing and talking . 😂 My mama didn't go to school to do hair , but she was pretty good at it . Except she did ruin my hair . When I was a little girl , she would pull it up in a ponytail wet . Well , when I took it down I had cow licks so bad . Mama started cutting on my hair before I even was in the 1st grade and it started thickening up . I got enough hair for 10 people . Plus it's got that natural wave / curl to it . So it takes me for ever to fix my hair . When I had my daughter I vowed that I wouldn't do that to my daughter's hair . Now my daughter has a little girl and she's picky about putting her hair up in ponytails too just because she knows what I have to go through with my hair . I'm the same age as you and you are right !! I finally quit fixing my hair everyday . It wears me out now . Anyway , I'm sorry this was too long , but the whole time I was watching this I was having a great time with you . Thanks for making my day !!
