Thank you teacher. We used to play marbles too. I and most of my friends were from poor familiar. Having marbles was the privilege of very few children. So we made our marbles up from pine cones. We used to carve them into marble like toys. But those times were the happiest periods of our life. Once i told my little son about my childhood, clean floawing rivers teeming with fish. All kinds of animals in backyard. He asked me if i had met or seen any dinosaur back then. I my dear wife burst into laughters.😊😊

It’s a heart warming story. When I was kid the favorite toy of girls was rubber bands. We played rubber band skipping every day. The proudest thing for us was getting the longest chain of rubber bands. But in my family my favorite time was looking at my dad when he was cooking or fixing things like watch and clock and bike and so on. Thank you so much for reminding me of that warm little moments.😊

When I was child, I loved to play with small dolls. I made the small doll by myself with the pieces of clothes that were no longer used. It was fun for me sewing the dresses for them, the small mattress, small pillows like that. Your story remember me of the time when I was playing with them.

Thank you, Tanya, for this wonderful story and lesson! It touched me deeply! I haven’t seen my father for more than a year. He is having hard times right now and I can’t hug him and tell him how much I am grateful for my happy childhood. So I send him an email on Christmas where I shared some of my memories. I hope I will have chance to tell him that personally. Your story reminded how important to talk to your kids, share your memories. It makes you closer and maybe one day they will retell those stories to their children with such warmth you did..

Hi, Taniya, your stories are very touching and it is very interesting to improve my English through the real life stories. Your explanations of some words or phrases at the end of storytelling are also helpful. I like the phrase To go up the hill there and back again. It is good saying! 🙂 Your father had such a nice hobby with creating a foil ball. How did the hobbies of your dad and daughters influence on their life later? It is interesting what was his profession? As for my hobbies in my childhood, I was drawing a lot and sometimes on the doors in our apartment. I was working in marketing during 16 years and then finished my work in the corporation and decided to do my own business. I'm an artist now. I'm painting pictures on canvas and on umbrellas. Thank you for your blog. It is a pleasure to watch your videos. Julia

In my country it is forbidden to smoke indoors. Unfortunately, a lot of young people smoke, even though a pack of cigarettes costs more than $10. My favorite toys were Lego, but in my time there were only white and red bricks and we had to build something ourselves. There were no cars, planes or whatever to buy. There was still imagination and creativity needed. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Cheers Rolf

Hi Tanya. I love your pronounciation, which is difficult for me to imitate. Regarding the toys in my childhood i remember the little images, colouful (figuritas), which i still keep with me . The dolls. I used to play with pebles, little stones (whose name in spanish is dinenti). Besides i can see in my mind my brother playing with little balls flicking them. Boys then played with small soldiers made from plastic or so as if they were in a war. Regarding the smoke i think now this habit is more expanded among women , very young ones. Kisses teacher.

Above after "there is" has come a noun But here sentences follow this structure There+ is/are + verb3/verb ing+ object (original subject) As. There is killed ravan on stage. There is lying a book. Aslo this is used in clauses As. This is the place where there is given a book. Can we use like these sentences If these structures are correct And any exception in these structures. @@EnglishCoach3Ts Well... here's what comes to mind ... My American buddy's wife was taking a break from housework in the afternoon. Feeling horny, she was playing around with her trusty vibrator. Suddenly she heard someone open the front door. She quickly hid the vibrator and pulled up her pants. It was her husband. So she asked him, "Honey, why are you coming home from work so early?" And he said, "I've been laid off. They don't need me any more because my job is going to be taken over by a f**ng machine!!" Am I off the hook for your next video?

That's scary. One time my dad had a bee on the inside of his straw in his drink. He didn't know it was there and when he took a drink the bee went into his mouth. When he opened his mouth the bee flew out. Luckily he did not get stung by the bee.
