I have been married for 14 years. My husband and I have two girls and we have struggled in this area. Most of our disagreements are over parenting because we were raised differently. We have learned to communicate communicate communicate other wise the children will play on the division between us. Great topic!

I agree with you Dominique. The authoritarian (super strict/low sensitivity) parenting often leads to emotional and mental health issues later on. This is an issue in the black community.

Hilarious session as always and the kids saying ewwwww at the end was funny LOOOOOL. Deitrick and Dominique seem so bonded, comfortable and happy together. Praise Yahweh! Adjusting to one another's parenting styles, and communicating effectively and consistently in a gentle spirit is mandatory

Dietrick’s up bringing sounds similar to mines, we ate what was put on the table. My mom had a saying, “who don’t like it lie down near it” but i now have a child and she chooses what she wants and i did give her the opportunity to choose what she wanted. Back in the day, they didn’t have the variety that we have now. But Dominique is right, the whole idea is to get them to eat so as a mom you do what works. I love the relationship between you guys it takes work and i am glad. that you are both leading with love, marriage is constant work but if the couples are willing to put in the necessary work.

I've favored more with Dominique on most topics discussed. She's wise beyond her years on lots. But when it comes to the kids. I'm more in favor of Deadrick. I guess because the choices I gave my kid converted her into an irresponsible spoil cute little brat. I get the concept of giving kids choices (make sure they're healthy choices)... But with some kids it backfires as unset boundaries. Also, try living off a limited income and see how far kids choices go. But the thing about parenting. It takes lots of prayers and set boundaries. Listen to the hubby. When they are teens you may wish you had, just saying. May God lead, guide and bless you all. ❣️❣️❣️

Very smart speech dentrick for what I now women have in everything more power that a man example: she can do the roll, to be mother and papa at the seme time contrary not a man. Next example man go trough more traumatic emotional when is spouses go whit some ☝️ else. Contrary 👎 not women.... and more example I cold give.

Do not show division amongst the leaders!! Go behind closed doors and discuss the difference of opinion. At the end of the day, as long as you know that husband loves his children, let him be the father!! Because if the children see that your word or opinion is the only one that matters, you are risking the loss of respect, or the weight of their father's authority in that house. And that's not good. As long as he is not abusive or shows partiality for one or the other, let his weight weigh more than yours, in front of those children. Because remember, he is known as the protector of the family. But, if they have no respect for his leadership, they will not trust in his protecting them for their safety. They will see weakness and not the father's strength or his ability to protect. So just be careful and remember to stay in your lane. Because it's so much better when you work together"Teamwork makes the dream work!!"

Dominique I am afraid your husband is right. The children need to be made to get use to the peace and quiet as it’s a scientific fact that the body does need the peace that quite bring it means that they get the deeper sleep that’s required for better brain 🧠 function and learning. Sorry 😐 First Lady Dominique. You two give me so much humour. Blessings to you in Jesus Name Amen. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 🙏🏾

When you came up in the struggle life is different. When you get older you will appreciate the discipline. If your husband doesn’t like the light on at night you should respect him for that. Let him teach the kids to respect him. If not as they grow older as teenagers they are Not Going to Respect him of you.
