I seriously need to vacation with my cousins in NYC this summer and stop by your shop! If I could make a suggestion - another ASMR barber/stylist I follow uses a lapel mic just like you’re using. However, she has it clipped to the cuff of the sleeve of her scissors hand with the wire going up her sleeve. The improvement in the scissors sound is amazing. I think this would be the Holy Grail for your scissor sounds in your videos.
