KZbin detecting in New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland and Pa., (you know who they are) the only place I see poison Ivy is Western Pa. I know that Is because you in Pa almost of necessity dig in the "woods". And I know from experience that poison ivy runs rampant in Western Pa. Drawing a different comparison, it is my belief that the Pa. Relic Hunters as a group, has dug more deucers than everyone else combined. Looking forward to next week!

Thanks Granddad, I have been fortunate enough not to catch poison ivy with all the woods hunting we've been doing this year. With all the videos I watch, I don't see many 2 centers being found. I guess we are lucky here

Love those 2 cent coins! Pretty rare find, they don't come up that often. Ive never dug a privy but there is usually some pretty cool stuff that comes out of them. Those suspender buckles are awesome, I have found a few of those, some different styles too but all that same mid 1800s era. Good thing Rich wasn't there to break these ones 🤣 There's silver there somewhere Jerry! Wicked happy hunting 👊

Love your videos! I was disappointed though to hear in this video that you all recycle some things like buckles you already have similar shape or don’t believe it to be historically significant. If it was just slag or something I get it, And I also get you can’t keep it all-or you’ll end up a hoarder lol. But recognizable things like buckles and buttons or whatever you should instead consider selling on Etsy or a similar site to people (like myself lol) who would appreciate owning a piece of history-this way you still make $ but you preserve the piece. I also metal detect, but rarely have time as a single working mom, and I collect antiques including smalls. I’ve ordered as far away as from mudlarkers in Europe-many times they sell lots of 10-15 small finds because they can ship together, command a group price, it’s worth it. Just food for thought.
@wicked_digger
@wicked_digger Жыл бұрын
Thats an interesting thought. I have tossed some because of finding so many, depending on condition, but I like to keep everything I possibly can to preserve the history. I have a box full of D buckles and things I just don't display in my big case or small ryker cases. 👍 Wicked happy hunting!

It's mostly me that decided to recycle the repeat finds. I'm not sure anyone else does. I recycle it for silver coins. But I am definitely going to look into what you suggested. The items would get a second life that way! Thanks for the advice!

Nice finds! As a viewer, though, it'd be great to get on-screen text of what you've found. Either, at the time you clean it, or at the end in a 'clean up video' with everything. Would really be interested in the dates you found on the coins and what the embossing was on that bottle.

Hey Bud, as you know, Shawn swings the Legend and is very good with it. We will have a big announcement in a future video. Try to learn the Legend the best you can first. We haven't been doing as much detecting lately because of the heat and really dry ground. We like to detect yards but don't want to kill people's grass. We do alot of research on old maps looking for home sites in the woods, and the fall is the best time for that. Do you have an email to contact you?

I hate when you dig a privy and you're into the water table. Or heavy rain saturated the ground after looking at the car down hill you're above the water table. That darn clay holds the water around forever. You leave them to dry once open if you think nobody will come snipe your dig. Do they call those boot strap or a strap side whiskey bottles? Guys would tuck them in their boots
