As much as I’d like to sell it and get some money in the bank I feel it’d be a bad idea if I did 🤦🏻‍♂️ can’t win dude 😂

Interesting to see what comes into play when laser is in sight. For me it's a kind of contradiction, doing woodwork on (or with) a computer. For me it would introduce all the stress and frustrations of trying the computer to do what I want it to do. All the time it needs to find out what went wrong each time. A bit like what social media do to young people: disconnecting them from the real world. As long as I can afford it, I'd rather invest my time to improve my woodworking skills. Maybe one day I will build things as beautiful as what you showed in your previous videos. That would be a satisfying achievement for me!

I guess for me it’s the same, there comes a point when you’re kinda good with your skills of course there’s room for improvement but then it’s better to be looking how can I speed things up, time is money and people want everything cheap. The irony of course is what comes out of a laser sells, furniture especially chairs you can barely give them away, I listed a chair the other week for just 200 quid and no takers 🤦🏻‍♂️

Most people aren’t a fan of this but take the hottest tap water, run it over a washcloth for 30s or so, then press it hard into the irritated area. It essentially kills the nerves around the bite or whatever, being in Texas it’s the only thing that can relieve a fire ant bite. Creams do sod all for me tbh. That aside, cool laser usage concepts, a friend of mine creates drink tokens with his for a local bar in North Dakota.

More fool them then, it has its place in a workshop - I’ve found that out, but it needs to be 40w plus. I wasn’t interested nor a fan before but seeing what it can save me a lot of time on in the shop changes the game!!! That’ll be more evident next vid, patrons will be able to watch that later today, non patrons next Sunday.

Was all worth the nod at the end 🫡 Inlay verses say a logo on disc looks pretty unreal. I’ll be dabbling in laser again soon

Dude, what does that emoji mean? I really wouldn’t fancy doing that on a scroll saw, I mean I was putting it together with tweezers 😂 You have the co2 laser though, after the next vid I’d love to know your comparison between this and yours?! I think the co2 are 55w right?

Hey Ben! The Chinese sent me a laser engraving machine with a capacity of 6W for review. I thought I could cut furniture templates on it, but that didn't happen. Complete disappointment :-((

That’s must of been a long time ago? The next vid I get into that, it will be up on my patreon page hopefully today to be watched. I remember the last machine I had 20w and it couldn’t cut a fart, the disappointment I can remember like it was yesterday, and they said it could cut 18mm 🤦🏻‍♂️ the Chinese don’t have any quarrels bending the truth that’s for sure! 😬

I reckon if I needed to do something that a laser can do, I'd go see the man with a laser down the road... Gotta say, it's probably the last thing on my shopping list. Central dust extraction on the other hand... 🤔
@HewAndAwe
@HewAndAwe 5 ай бұрын
I’d agree it’s right at the bottom of my list of tools to buy to, BUT for a production shop I think it’s a must, I demo that in the final vid, that’ll be uploaded for patrons eyeballs sometime today. I’m assuming central dust extraction you mean a big arsed chip extractor and pipe run everywhere?

Yeah, and a remote to switch it on 😬

Well I saw in my analytics there’s a fair amount of my subscribers watching at that time so I thought what the hell. Maybe one day mate I’ll think of something I usually do down the line but for now one more vid and let the dust settle dude 😬

@@HewAndAwe well least if you get them off your back you can actually do some other stuff and just use the benefit of having it about for templates and stuff. Really wish could get one must say think even the "laser tat" would go well in my area. People won't spend big money on custom furniture or products but they'll buy sommit small and cheap= laser 🤔🤔

@michaelwillson6847 I hear ya bud! I asked what their criteria is for peeps to review their lasers and she said 10k followers, to be honest dude posting pics will take u a long time to get there, a pic tells a thousand words, then how many words is a video 😉 otherwise you’re in 2.5k for the above 😑 I mean that’s the price of a mid line thicknesser/planer combo with a spiral cutter 🤷🏻‍♂️
@michaelwillson6847
@michaelwillson6847 5 ай бұрын
@@HewAndAwe no a totally get ya the spiral head would win every time. Honestly al be surprised if I even get to 1k but will see. Videos are coming new toy arriving hopefully week hopefully and am gonna totally up end the workshop and redesign things to fit into the space better. As I've said before my problem is for example your an amazingly skilled talented creator and furniture maker with loads of knowledge and advice to give. Me (and am not fishing for compliments here) am barely average and don't have an awful lot to show people in my opinion granted not trying to teach so there will less to film but I do have few bits of stuff I can think to run with. Dam you for not being closer to help 😧 but appreciate everything you have helped with so far.

@michaelwillson6847 I don’t mind helping you with the edits, but I’d need you to frame every shot centre third. I can tell you how to edit, but I can’t teach you to edit if you follow?
