@maxk880
@maxk880 Жыл бұрын
@@BlackDiamondPrince jujutsu is the original combination name of all kinds of samurai fighting styles from Japan, late 19th century. Judo and BJJ and indirectly sambo as well come from this collection of styles. It's striking, transition/wrestling and ground game. It''s originally meant to be the most optimal martial art to use in combat when everyone is in armor, like in the fights the samurai originally fought. It's still amazing for self defense, the throws and joint locks destroy someone's capability to do anything back. Lots of moves from Japanese jujutsu are illegal in MMA because they are very dangerous.

I like Jiu jitsu and all. Practiced it for a few years. Most of this stuff here is legit. The headlock escapes and throws are stuff we drilled at the school I was at. But the knife attacts displayed here are just not realistic at all. Nobody attacking with a knife typically comes running from a great distance and over exaggerates their attack like that so you are prepared for it. Stabbings happen in close proximity with little to no warning typically. Wrestling or trying to disarm a knife or gun barehanded is not usually advised.
@coltondevalle5421
@coltondevalle5421 4 жыл бұрын
We do have defenses for knife attacks at close range but we chose not to display them in this video because it is hard to tell what is happening on camera. We also practice the knife attacks in more realistic situations with the person actually trying to stab you and resisting. We also don’t advise trying to disarm attackers of their knifes or guns as a good first option. However if someone is trying to stab you or harm you with a gun these techniques may be utilized. As they say it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Get that is only an approuching to terrible scenaries... Do not forget an entire community is watching At you and may these get a wrong idea... Is much better train harder In order to At least try preventing these surprising attacks ...some time by running like hell. It also works
@Polentaccio
@Polentaccio 4 жыл бұрын
@@javierortizgarcia92357 let's be honest, no matter how good you are at knife defence,. You are going to get cut. Running is the best option but so is reflex drills against realistic pressure attacks. I think a lot of wasted time is spent on unrealistic attacks that lead to the perfect disarm. We all know it isn't going to happen like that. I agree with you.

Bravo! This is what I was taught early on - it’s a complete system to allow you to defend yourself if attacked while unarmed. You can’t just train one thing and leave the rest out, like taking every fight to the ground or trying to box it out without thinking of getting stabbed, jumped by a third attacker, or learning how to take a punch and pick yourself up to keep on fighting. Very refreshing to see this. Thank you!

@Tim Scholz It's called Shorinji Kan jiu jitsu and is the style taught within The Jitsu Foundation (TJF). Despite it's name, it doesn't exactly have a huge lineage in Japan as it's really a post-WWII style that might be best described as judo + striking. I just call it Japanese jiu jitsu to differentiate it to BJJ as that's more popular these days.

Once fought a black belt in taekwondo he struck, broke my Rib., He kicked dislocated my arm., Grappled and straddled my back unleashing punches on my neck. Fortunately I been workn as a trucker in place of forklifts had t unload trucks carrying 150 to 180klsmon my back. He hit me so hard on my neck he thought he had me then I rose up so fast caught him off guard and punched his jaw so bad he dropped and after lying down people stopped the fight(it was a "three o'clock high" thing and he was a bully) when he got up he was shaking involuntarily. He wnet home and wasn't able to go to school for three days unable to get up even. Best broken rib I ever had. Meanwhile I couldn't breathe properly for a month. He thought I'd stop after getting broken bones. Hell I worked for 2 dollars a day carrying stuff on my back. When you got paid two dollars on fourteen hour days a broken rib isn't as painfully as an empty stomach .

I am really a die hard fan to learn this unchallenged martial art. But unfortunately here in India in lot of matters we are still in stone age. The jujutsu training centre very near to me is 450 km from my place 😆
