Great video! Review is super detailed and well put together. Also tell Wilson that his camera work and that Polarizing filter are dope AF. P.S. If I can make a slight recomendation, I have the MX4's and LDAC is amazing just make sure you go into developer settings on your phone and set the bit rate to as high as it goes. Mine was 330kbps to 990kbps it realy makes a huge difference.

Great review.....swapped out the eartips for some CP 360's and they made a huge difference for me in terms of comfort, NC, and sound quality (especially bass response). Coupled with the app, I think Sony got a sho nuff winner! Keep up the good work and stay cool!

same here, none of the foam tips passed the seal test. I used some Sedna XELASTEC both sound quality and ANC greatly improved

Excellent review brother. I was rocking the xm4’s for about 1 1/2 years and the right earbud dies about a few weeks after my warranty expired. 😳😤 I was annoyed with Sony because I have been with ‘‘em since I was a teenager. Btw I am 68. Your review is definitely helpful in me possibly making that purchase. You pay extra coin for the extended warranty so you can be covered and your product dies 2 weeks after the warranty expires. Sorry, I repeat and digress. My bad. Hello, I had battery issue with my xm4, which were out of warranty. called Sony customer service and Sony repaired the xm4 at no cost. XM-4 are perfect (like new) Not upgrading until XM-4 dies & XM 5 price drops

Size is what ultimately made me return my XM4's and go back to my galaxy bud+. My ears were in so much pain. Hearing that you can use one earbud is also a big plus for me.

I hate the XM5's. There's no way to disable the tap tone that happens with every tap to the earbuds. It takes alot of taps to adjust volume up or down & a tone included with each tap is a deal breaker for me, I'm returning them to Best Buy.

I have these earbuds and the sound seems to change at higher volumes, for the worse. Has anyone else noticed or is it me? I usually have the eq settings with a U shape. I have tried turning the HD audio on and off as well as the sound dssextreme setting(cannot remember the exact name). Thx

Same for the xm4s and any other earbuds, higher sound=lower quality.

This happens with Bluetooth speakers as well. The alternative is when manufacturers limit the overall volume of the device to preserve the audio quality... BUT the consumer will end up complaining that the device isn't loud enough. It's a tough thing to balance.

For me, yes it's worth it because of the extra bit of comfort, call quality and bass. If you're ok with the comfort, size and sound of the XM4... no, it's not.

I like using PS Remote Play because sometimes I just want to play for a few minutes without having to go to the room where the PS5 is located. My favorite game is The Last Of Us Pt.1, but right now I'm enjoying The Dark Knight (it's a PS4 game).

It’s unfortunate the WF-1000XM4’s completely disappeared But with the headphones they still have the WH-1000XM4 which I think it’s because of the collapsible design that people like rather than the AirPod Max design.

Hey , you should get what I got my Cane Corso. Nerf Frisbee is the best toy ever made for a dog . I bought mine for 20usd on Amazon. Make sure you get the orange one. My dog had a hard time seeing the 🩵 light blue . My dog destroys every toy I ever bought him. I only let him use it for frisbee but man, he loves that thing and we've had it for 4 yrs now. That's tough 😊

The whole point of it was that he would've said the exact same thing about the XM5 for the same reasons, and there are a LOT of people out there like this. It took me a while to realize it, but most people don't watch KZbin videos on this stuff. We're actually a pretty small group. Lol! The rest of those people are out there fending for themselves with all of this amazing tech that they don't know how to use to It's potential.

man, i dont get sony and their design team sometimes. i had the XM4s and they sounded great, but i dont know whos giant dumbo like ears they were built for. it certainly wasnt mine. then i got the linkbuds S, great sound, and perfectly sized, at least for me. would have been great to have wireless charging, but whatever. then sony makes the XM5. a bit smaller, but they stick out the side your head like antennas. they already had the perfect frame to build on with the linkbuds S. all they had to was replaced the innards, but as sony is want to do, they f*cked it... i think ill take a pass on these.

These are a major disappointment by Sony. Many reviews online & KZbin don't recommend them. Sony increased the price, made a few changes, but the quality went down. The XM5 are worse than the XM4. The noise-cancelling isn't as good as the previous generation.
