I think this would be considered a 2D game since its all on single plane and kingdom 1D since you can only move left and right. But I get the point, was thinking the same thing when watching the video before I started overthinking it lol

@@bramcallaert7828 @bayuf955 you might already know this but I'm a natural teacher: That is not how dimensions work. Both are 2D games since you can't shift the viewpoint from looking at the X axis in Kingdom or from a fixed point looking diagonally down at the x and y axis in Thronefall. That one is usually called Isometric view and the characters and buildings just like in traditional 2d are flat sprites usually although Thronefall is using 3D sprites in some cases it is effectively still the same.

@@liamnehren1054 It depends, kingdom is a 2D game when talking about its graphics/ artwork but player movement is 1 dimentional since you can only move along 1 axis. Unlike most other 2D games that let you move on a 2nd axis by jumping and/or climbing. And in (most) Top down/Isometric games like this one you can move up, down, left and right wich is also 2 axes

YEEEESSS! RCE did thronefall! I've played the demo over way too many times, its just so minimalist yet fun with enemy variants being interesting and also pretty op - can't wait for the whole game to release, best of luck to the dev - Jonas Tyroller - who made Islanders as well!

The gameplay looks very simple, but they did a great job of making things feel good. From the movement to the sound effects for upgrading and fighting. I hope this gets built up more.

Exactly! I did the challenge for the sixth crown in the 2nd stage, that was hard and require proper strategy(i hate those smaller speedy guy that 2 shots me)

Maybe you shouldn't change all of your towers to ballista because of the slow fire rate. It seems like the overall DPS on the normal towers is better. Also, this game reminds me of the Kingdom series. Maybe check out the latest entry, Kingdom: Two Crowns sometime?

This is almost exactly like kingdom new lands. It's an older 2d side scroller but it plays almost the exact same. If you like this game you should check that one out.
