Main difference is that instead of meteor-induced poop tsunamis, the population died from a far more engineer-appropriate way-- some sodding apprentice accidentally connected the poop-pumping station for poisoning the architects directly into the city main 🤦 Demote that man and put him on Architect Island immediately!

Neighbouring town actually had that happen several years ago. Apparently there was a lever that could connect those two (brilliant idea!) and for some reason it got switched on. Yeah, no one was happy: citizens, doctors, city leaders, truckers who had to haul fresh water into the city for couple of weeks, people who got fired... Remember guys: if unsure what a lever does, leave it be!

In City Skylines you also get death waves. If you grew your city by 10.000 in an ingame month, eventually you reach a month where 10.000 die from old age. A bit of poo doesn't murder that many people but a fast but a fast growing city is a fast dying city. After fixing that you'll get another wave in X months. I've heard there were mods to fix it but it is annoying nonetheless.

You can find a modded pump that is useful for filling streams and canals with clean water.. also there is a water source tool somewhere that let you set local water level.

Awesome video, so funny! Love Cities Skylines. It's one of the games I play the most, and if that is ok for you, I have a couple of suggestions: - You can use the Move it! mod (ctrl+H) to adjust the height of roads' nodes (the road that crosses the moat, for instance), and bring them up to the appropriate level for services to access the Architect castle (if that's wanted, of course). - Roads being green mean that the service you selected can reach that part of the city, so I would say it's important that every road is green for each service (as well as the availability bar). - I don't know of a better way to demolish a lot of buildings, unless you use mods, so that part is fine luckily. But just a tip, you can hover over the abandoned building icon to see the reason why it was abandoned, and that can help you avoid abandonment in the future. Thanks, and keep the CS videos up :)

When this happened, some of its most renown content revolved around gathering people in a Minecraft server, have a theme and showcase their builds and making life of Cities: Skylines citizens a living hell. The fabled poopcano was an accidental invention, as he struck too many meteors in the same place, and wanted to see if he could fill up the crater with sewage water. And he could. So maybe you already know this, but in case it helps: you can get rid of poop water by just plopping a bunch of water pumps on it. This works because water pumps just suck infinitely and the pipes have infinite capacity, so the water they suck basically goes nowhere (that is, unless you send the pipes with the filthy water back into your city). It's kind of a hacky solution but it would allow you to drop all your poop water into the canal without it overfilling or contaminating anywhere else
