Хорошее видео для тех, кто любит Петербург и скучает по нему. Спасибо автору! На 16.05 минуте ролика , когда проходили мимо Елисеевского гастронома,если бы камеру подняли вверх, в углу дома есть скульптура котика. Небольшая. Котик этот легендарный, спас от пожара всю семью хозяина и много за ним еще добрых дел. Туристы,которые знают про эти истории, кидают монетки наверх.У кого получится закинуть -исполнится задуманное.

I was in St Petersburg for 6 weeks this summer, just got back. If you look at 30:37, you will see the 5 story building in the upper right of the screen, I was renting that top floor apartment, if you count 5 windows to the right you can see my cut off Levi's hanging in the window for drying, as there was no clothes dryer. :)

в Ленинграде люди были значительно более вежливые и обходительные ,что и неудивительно... и недаром весь СССР гордился и обожал Ленинградцев ,а сейчас все настоящие Ленинградцы уже еле еле передвигаются, и носителями культуры Ленинграда остаются лишь люди в возрасте за 50 ,а нахлынувшие за 30 лет после отмены прописки ребятки полностью стерли особенности городской культуры ,и Питер превратился в такую же алчную и беспринципную клоаку, как Москва

True but, I think you are only accounting the youngsters you've spotted. If you take another look, anyone over the age of (presumably) thirty looks to be rather round and overweight. . One could blame the higher alcohol consumption amidst older males and perhaps home cooking tradition with women in comparison to Americans... but, I think both really were impacted negatively in several of noticeable ways. In short, I think there's still some work to be done in Russia just as much as in The States. Not to mention, their rising depression & anxiety statistics which currently competes with Brazil's and America's as it rises each year. Very concerning stuff to note! This year, I've spoken to enough Russians informing me how desperately they wish to leave their home country and live in the states to ever agree with anyone stating it's better than the U.S. Regardless, I still plan to visit Russia one day- as I am studying the language, history and culture. Edit: in short, I think how they look does not equate to how they are doing mentally & spiritually. Their youth looks better but, they want to escape so badly.

@@chaimbar1171 The camera did not pan to show the parks along the way. The city has 500 parks and many tree lined streets. Everyone is within a short walk of a park with trees and gardens. I live less than a block from a small park of 5 acres that few visit but is it kept in nice condition and its a relaxing place to see and read or just enjoy the flowers and shade of the lush trees. I am an American who has lived in St Petersburg since 2000 but visited many times in the 80s and 90s. First visit was in 1976. Love it and the vast number of interesting things to do every day. Anyone who lives here and watches TV has a dead soul. I do not even know anyone who watches TV. There are hundreds of great museums, galleries, ballet, plays, opera, dance clubs, jazz clubs, 13,000 nice restaurants, 350 English style pubs, exhibitions etc every day. There is good public transport that is cheap safe and clean if one does not want to walk. I live in the city center so walking is convenient to many areas.

Вы сильно заблуждаетесь. Если отойти метров на 300 от Невского, дома начинают сыпаться, фасады потрескавшиеся и грязные. Нормально только там, где водят туристов. Зимой город не чистят практически, не реально пройти нормально, чуть потеплеет и все утопает в жижи, утром корка льда. В таврическом парке утки начали дохнуть от качества воды, не чистят наверно.

In the last 15 years winters have all been shorter than historical records except 2009 when we had a lot of snow. But every year there is less snow, and shorter winter so October is often a great time, lower hotel costs, no crowds in museums, full cultural season that starts in Sept6-7 and goes until July but even the Mariinsky Theaters have some performances through the summer now. The city is set up for winter if someone wants to experience the coldest weather in Feb but it is still pleasant and stunning at night in the snow. The historic city center buildings have millions of accent lighting and wall wash lights installed that are turned on around 5pm all night since days are very short winter due to being so far north so the city center looks like a magical fairytale. But in early summer the sky is still bright after midnight during White Nights when people are out doing things or just walking all night. I like winter here, it is not as cold as, say Chicago or upstate NY in the US but the city is set up better for it. Every restaurant, theater or museum has cloakrooms so people dress very nightly and take off their winter outer clothes and boots to leave in the cloakroom. The buildings are heated by hot water plumbed into every building and apartment from central boiler stations so every building is cozy all winter. We only had 3 real snow falls and the last one was April 1 after 2 months of fair weather. Historically the winters have been long however so an average temperature chart that included long past dates will show a lot colder temperatures than one that only includes 10-15 prior years.
