I am Singapore permanent resident for 20 years. I have one daughter born here She is final year of her Polytechnic Diploma. You know I am here a long time time of my life I did not see anybody disrespect others.My neighbours are from different races and religions. But we are like family. It's a safe country. I did not see a big crime here. If you follow rules you are safe. But if you don't follow you will be punished.yo can not escape anyway. I think other country can follow Singapore. Here every system is well being for people. Singapore’s education, housing, financial, Transportation, health care all systems are excellent. I love this country. Thanks from heart to make this video

Hi, I like your question. SG is seen as a stepping stone or launchpad to other destinations with more opportunities and platforms. We’re not known for our arts scene, for example. If you wanted to pursue the arts, you would have to start your career overseas in order to make a name for yourself. We are but a small speck on the map, with no natural resources. There is only so much we can do with a small land size. Hence some people are pessimistic in their outlook of staying in Singapore.

CONGRATULATIONS! from ' The City of Angel ', Bangkok. Singapore is unique in almost everything & becomes one of the Top Mega Cities in the world ...... Maybe the small size & small population are the advantages - but the attentiveness of all the Governing Bodies do their Best to make ' Singapore Great !'

I visited the City-State many times both with my family & businesses over 30-yrs-ago with satisfaction & happiness (now, with all the beautiful developments which I missed). The Kingdom of Siam (now Thailand) has missed all the opportunities to become Great from all the ' Selfish, Greed, Bad, & Evil ' people since they turned the ' Land of Smiles ' into a Chaotic nation from the Stupid Western Democracy ... Very well done video. I have been to Singapore many times. I love the country. Singapore is a prime example of a nation of diversity that is extremely successful. I think that the key factor to their success is their own form of strict government authority with respect to disruptive stuff yet allowing huge choice and freedom in life and business for people who just want to live and let live. Also... it should be noted that life expectancy is quite high in Singapore. The average Singaporean can expect to live about a thousand more days than the average American and all for a price that is less than half per citizen. Viva Singapore!

Singapore don't have brightest students....all bright students are imported to represent Singapore. Singapore Government spend a lot of money on foreign students study in SG, later transfer to oversea for further studies.
@anchored5554 жыл бұрын
@@MrAlbertYam Not true. There may be some foreigners in our student population, but they are definitely not the majority. Nor do they form the bulk of our brightest students. In fact, in the PISA education ranking, Singaporean students ranked second in the world for reading, math and science, and top in the global competence test.

@@indonesiar110 Not true. Perhaps only a handful people not majority. When Singaporeans travel overseas for work or holidays we really appreciate so much of our own safe and clean country when we return. The foreigners we meet in Singapore were very impressed of our racial harmony. Mosques, temples and churches are built near to each other. The western foreigners said they have to watch over their shoulders when they were in their home country. Our multi racial citizens live near to each other under same building with harmony. You can find Chinese, Malays, Indians, Eurasians living in the same estate with peace and harmony. That is the great policy implemented by our government, our founding father Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

@@indonesiar110 Really? I am Singaporean and I know of some who move to Australia, UK and USA, thinking the grass is greener on the other side. The numbers from Malaysia, Indonesia, China, India, Hong Kong etc coming into Singapore by far exceed emigration to these countries, usually only due to marriage.

A former Singapore resident here. One of the safest place in the world as I used to hang out with friends until past midnight without any worries of getting mobbed. The airport is one of the best too. The downside is that you'll probably get a little bored after a while. But if you love night life, Singapore offers many top knotch places.

Singapore banned chewing gum mainly because many tended to stick it on train doors,sensors etc which stopped them from closing automatically, and the trains couldn't move without closing those doors. For a country with no natural resources and one which have to even import soil and water from other countries, time is everything. time is money. you cant delay a train and subsequent trains on the line wasting everyone's time because some fool struck some gum on one of the door sensors. its a wonderful thing that they banned it. One of the best countries in the world! Kudoos

It is not just stopping trains with gum but also the mess it makes on the floor and your footwear. It is hard to clean as you cannot sweep it off the floor. It has to be scraped off the floor and your footwear. What about those who stick it on seats---cinema seats, bus seats, train seats, park benches, etc.? Wait till you step or sit on a discarded gum and have to clean it off your shoe or dress, not to mention spreading the mess as you walk about. Is it worth it when gum causes so much mess, particularly for the cleaners---after all somebody has to clean up the mess?
