C'mon now...Are you really surprised? The FBI are a bumbling bunch of fools who are constantly dropping the ball .They ignored all the damning information that could've prevented 9-11,the Parkland Florida shooter was ignored by them after he did exactly what he said he would ,just like the last mass shooter who literally said exactly what he did and was ignored by the FBI...

I think if the casinos would only build a garage specifically for armored car pickups and have a special secured walkway from the cash register department then it would solve lots of robberies. Another idea is to have a drive-in station for armored car similar to drive-in banking whereby a drawer pops out into a hole in the armored car to slide money bags into it.

same lack of attention in the making of the re enactments over months and years of time covered and everyday is a rainy day. Not Las Vegas weather. The initial failure to investigate the watchman at the storage yard was a major problem. More robberies and murders resulted from that negligence. That should have been realized by the investigator and the case manager at the time. Allowing it to be noted in this show either shows they knew they would not be held accountable or they simply didnt see it as a major omission in their investigation. Says a lot about the loss of respect for the FBI in recent years SurfingLife with Malcolm

Why not have all the cash go into a huge safe room. Like armored safe banks have. Inside 2-3 employees with the proper credentials can load a machine that transfers bags of money through a bulletproof tube like how banks and pharmacies use, and it go outside to.another armored room that an armored truck pulls into, locks and is secure with only the truck inside to load up. When the truck is loaded and locked, it opens up and let's the truck exit.

Can anyone explain to me why you would design what's supposed to be an armored van that has no bulletproof glass or protection of any kind from inside the back compartment to the front where the guard driving is located?? I also don't know why anyone would ever buy an armored van that didn't have protection for the guard driving from the back to the front.... I mean if designing armored vehicles vehicles is what you do, it's kinda scary how you could miss something so simple as that??

Very sloppy police/FBI work except that every time police is convinced that it was the same gang that committed the robberies. There was the fingerprint on the false licence plate, the blood sample collected from the gateaway car etc. nothing helped; even attempt to block the car of the suspect was so stupid and ridiculous - if the police were smart enough, they could have prevented the killings.

I can see if they have no choice, but if a robber has a gun pointed at you and especially if your gun is holstered, why would you risk your life for someone else's money? Not even making $30/hr but you're going to start a shootout with somoene who has the drop on you and every reason to shoot to kill if you start shooting? If you give it up with no fight, they just walk away. Would anyone blame them if they just got down on the ground when they saw the gun pointed ta them?

That is the consequence of the U.S law for overly protecting the criminal that cost two lives of Armored guards and lost millions of dollars and times as well. Moreover, this type of law encourages more criminals. Nowadays, everybody has a very bad that the U.S has the worst law of order in the world. My store has a security camera, and alarm, and I have done all I could to protect my property but useless. The thieves break into my store every night and I showed all the proof to the police but could not do anything. And the police said don't call again if there has nobody die. The stupid U.S lawmaker prevents using AI technology to stop the criminal.

Jim Calstrom always talks these criminals up, "masterminds" is the last word I'd use to describe these fools. Returning a stolen vehicle WITH stolen plates, having a gun battle with the guards and not even taking a dollar... definitely not functioning above an IQ of 100.

The re enactment of the guard who was killed after enguaging and shooting 1 of them doesnt do the guard justice. He was a tall, skinny kid, like a real cowboy and he took his job seriously. A nice young man who lost his life because he had a lot of guts. READ the book; STORMING LAS VEGAS to learn the most of this case. It was way deeper than portrait here. Ps God bless you, young gun slinger, my hats off to you...

@@mekkimaru2365 Go back 100 yrs and you will not recognize the size of Americans then and now. Skinny is often a synonym for "fit" as the Brits say. Skinny can definitely be relatively equated to "healthy" in modern lingo given there are so many morbidly obese Americans.

Says a lot about the loss of respect for the FBI in recent years.

@@SpaceCadet4Jesus It was included in the show so it was from someone's notes. The fact the investigator didnt follow up and the case manager didnt catch it is inexcusable, especially considering the victims after that and the fact he turned out to be part of the gang. His prints or DNA may have been on the stolen plates. A lot of information was missed, victims were killed and time and resources expended because somebody did a shoddy job initially. As a former case manager, thats exactly the kind of loose end it was my job to wrap up. Every lead was on a spread sheet and assigned, then remarks added after follow up. A glance at the spread sheet would show no remarks meaning it was not followed up. No excuse for an experienced squad to miss things like that. They hadnt yet identified any suspects and the plates were the first lead in that direction. They may have missed fingerprints, DNA, video footage, a suspect interview. Any of those could have lead to earlier arrests and avoided all the crimes that followed.

Sure it was an issue to not have looked into him deeper at the storage yard but the idea that would’ve entirely prevented things is silly. All they had at that point is that a license plate was stolen from a disabled vehicle being kept there. That wasn’t some huge thing that would’ve locked him up. Optimistically the best outcome could’ve been finding his DNA on the plate and using that to try and tie him to the robbery. But even then that’s weak to try and get him for anything major. It would be easy to simply put off the plate as having touched it during the time the car was there - it wouldn’t have had any major teeth to really get him for anything above possibly stealing the truck. It’s a lot harder to convict people than many seem to believe it is. Hunches don’t function as hard evidence to convict people of major crimes.

Any security guard who makes a move with a fire arm against all protocols should be imprisoned if they survive. It is BS. Protocol is just give up the money if can and stand down. Guns are only given a preventative measure or if they are fired upon. Hero guards just put themselves their colleagues and the ppublic in danger. If guards submit and give it up 99 out of 100 no one gets physically harmed. Facts. Most cases when they get harmed is an idiot wants to be a Rambo hero and gets themselves their fellow guards or public shot up. Facts again.
