My parents have always been like yours, but I, unlike you, grew up totally insecure. Even now, at almost 42 years old (on Valentine's Day!), I never feel up to it, I'm never good enough, beautiful enough, intelligent enough... because what I did as a kid was never enough. Even though, like you, I always had high grades. Unfortunately I just can't work on myself to feel like a better person. Thank u for this video. I know I’ve been neglecting myself lately. I take care of everyone & everything around me. I have this mindset that I’m not happy unless everyone else is happy. This isn’t healthy for me. I have no time for myself because everyone “needs me.” I’m finally going to take of myself & tell people no. I know I’ll lose some friends & family members along the way but honestly I don’t need those type of people around me.

You somehow so reminded me of my childhood. It was an amazing, safe time, I was straight A's (without any pressure from my parents, the best in the world), graduated at the University something I love (literature), and then lost them and realize that life isn't perfect at all. I'm very attached to my sister (we both have our families). Those heart-shaped earrings also reminded me of the earrings I had when I was a child! Great video, dear Tamara

I do all of the things you were talking about but still find it hard to love myself, I get told I look younger than what I actually am, I have lovely skin, I have lovely hair, I’m a lovely person etc, yet it still doesn’t sink in, but working on it. I watch a lot of KZbinrs, and you are my favorite. All the tips you gave in this video are exactly how you live your life. Watching your videos you see you following these tips. I admire your work ethic, you give 100 percent to do the best job and it shows. I LOVED this video and I needed it so badly. Life has been crazy and hectic lately and one thing I have been neglecting is my body. I am going to focus on incorporating a workout or daily walk into my life to be more active. I also want to try and cook more and learn to enjoy the process so I can be doubly aware of what I am putting into my body. I am also VERY good at giving myself gifts and this year I bit the bullet and got myself my first Cartier pieces. I just got married and Ive always wanted to the love collection in honor of my husband. Ive been dreaming about it for years. So I did it :) I also love a good candle and a book so I think ill start incorporating a regular Sunday reading, bath, and candle routine. Thanks for your thoughts on love Tamara! I love the chopard heart collection. Maybe one day, I will add some to my collection as well.

It spoke to mindfulness, meditation, and doing what makes you happy. It became synonymous with taking hallucinogenics, but that was actually optional. The phrase is a mantra that is still applicable today, although I do not recommend the drugs part.

I enjoyed this video so much. Kind reminder that we also deserve love and attention to ourselves. I normally don’t celebrate Valentine’s, why to make efforts just one day.
