Realistic Bass Fishing Tips to Catch More Bass From the Bank

Here are some realistic bass fishing tips to catch more bass from the bank. I like to use three specific lure types to catch bass on a slow day. First I start with a topwater fishing lure like a popper. If I don't get a bite within the first 20 minutes, I switch to something else. The second lure I like to use is a worm, or something similar. If I can get a bite on that I like to downsize with a minnow imitating lure. If the fish are not aggressive enough to go for a topwater or a larger worm, my confidence increases when I throw the small minnow lure. Today I caught 4 largemouth bass but my camera was acting up so only three were caught on video. Hopefully these bank fishing tips will help you catch more bass on a slow day. #fishing #bassfishing

Wow, had same experiences Thursday. Senko didn't work. Used about 4 different lures getting 2 bass. Did get one early on a Whopper Plopper. The 2nd was on TRD. Lost a 3rd on a Culprit. Nicely done on sticking with it when that fish had you hung up had the same thing happen to me last fall but with a hand size bream fishing with a cork he nailed it took it under i started reeling he dove down some more wrapped me up in some branches so i paddled my kayak over to him let him wear out then opened the bail on my reel line the line go loose and used a net to bring him in but had to cut my line after i released him he had wrapped up so bad have a good one

I live in Dayton, OH and fish in the lake behind the apartment building I live in. The lake has Large mouth, White Bass, Carp, Bluegill, Flathead, Channel Cats that I know of. What's Realistic for me is I can only catch Bluegill and turtles. The Large mouth are very hard to catch they don't like anything I throw. I have tried all of the different bass baits and nothing bites. I have caught one bass fishing for bluegill for catfish bait using bread dough ball, that was the one and only Large Mouth I have ever caught. I have been fishing the lake for 9 years now but I keep trying.

I'm somewhat new to watching your VERY entertaining, (because we've all been there) and educational show (I've learned a thing or two from you, especially on the bluegill). Watching you on the top water popper, for the short time. . . Have you ever tried vibrating the lure after a big pop? Trying to imitate a, say, bug in the water. Works great, especially with tiny hula poppers and poppers with the jig tails. I always feel dumb trying to make the dang lure vibrate, by shaking the crap out of the tip of my rod, but seriously, if you've never, give it a go. Perfect time of year for those spawning bass in the shallow water towards dusk or early day break 😉 Keep it realistic!!
