Thanks for keeping the camera rolling during that security interaction at the shopping center. I had a similar thing happen last week at a mall while shooting content for a fashion/athletic brand and I was curious how you handle it. Different security guards coming up to us to tell us they had to say they said something even if they think it’s stupid. Wild that they have no issues with phones but try to shut down people with other cameras. Especially when iPhone is getting so nice it’s almost a DSLR 😂 Should be a public right to film in outdoor locations so long as we’re not featuring other people in an identifiable way. Everyone in the background of your video is blurred out and anonymous anyway. Thanks again for a great video 🤝🏽

According to the Constitution you can film in a public space, OUTSIDE! It's your 1st Amendment Right, They literally cannot legally stop you from recording especially in a public space or enforce it. A cop can't even arrest you for filming outside, or it's a lawsuit.

So here’s the thing… if an establishment (whether public OR private) has cameras recording YOU, then you ARE ALLOWED to have a camera recording them (or yourself) as well. Don’t let ppl feed you their bullshit on that. I heard dude say something about trying to make other doctors and lawyers comfortable, as if their comfortability is more important than yours or as if your profession as a content creator that LITERALLY REQUIRES you to have a camera is less important. This is where knowing your rights comes in. But it’s not enough to know them. Stop letting people inconvenience you because you wanna be passive aggressive. Be assertive.
