Reminder: everyone with ME/CFS is different! So you or someone you know might have a very different experience with ME/CFS than I do at the moment! Also, remember that chronic conditions such as these can change dramatically over time, so my life may look very different to this in the future (and has be A LOT worse in the past).
Thank you so much for watching!! Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe to see more videos from me most FRIDAYS!lchair

People without a chronic illness just don’t understand how just being with people is exhausting 😢. At least you had a fun time to make the exhaustion worth while 😊

I love how you worded that in the beginning, "you have to relearn how to live again and again." That's really how it feels. And yeah that point about socializing. That and general mental activity always kind of catches me off guard! For some reason I assume since it's not physical effort it won't be as taxing, but it absolutely can be.

I agree it does take a load of out you just by chatting to people, I find that its also like if we go for coffee and the place is busy and/or Noisy then that tires me out too.

Just last night my family had people over and it was important for me to meet them, but my grandparents were also coming too and being around four extra people instead of two makes it harder and takes more energy. It’s like the vibrations they give off are painful, just being in the same room is hard, things like sleeping in a room with an extra person is hard and painful just because I’m not used to their presence. Talking is exhausting and sets off my fight/flight. Glad to know others feel the same because it’s hard to explain to my family what it’s like.

This is such a great video; motivational and informative for those who don’t get it. I’ve planned a 3 day get away after many many years; it involves flying and being in the UK (love the UK and the vegan scene there). But I’m so worried about my body and mind. I have to plan it real well, but at the same time I just want to wander around without much of a plan. Give me a sarnie, a bottle of Ribena, some crisps, a piece of chocolate, some sun shine and a good park bench and I’m super happy ❤

I'm coming to terms with having cfs at the moment and trips always make it feel much harder! A lot of pressure to do many things and socialise a whole bunch because of the limited time in a nice place which causes so much exhaustion and makes me feel a bit left out. Will you be doing a video on careers with cfs now that you've left uni? I'm still in uni and I'm a bit terrified about what options are out there!

A few weeks ago I went to my family’s lake house, and even though I can lay in bed there my family wanted to go do activities everyday and I had to explain that I couldn’t. It’s frustrating because you want to go but can’t do it all so you have to pick and choose.

It was hard but brilliant and wonderful that you could spend some quality time with your mum. The dresses you had looked beautiful. I did laugh at your yawning welcome. You did have a long day and drinking alcohol does weird things. I hope the dream wasn't you hitting your mum before you sat bolt up right.

Hi Elinor 💐 may i say you looked so very beautiful going out for that meal! You look amazing in that short skirt, but we get to see the other side of you with the wheelchair not far away, you know your limits & you know the wheelchair will get used more in the future! Unless your lucky enough to stay stable for a number of years! May i be nosey & ask where you got your glasses from? They really suit you & highlight your beautiful face & eyes! Thank you for showing that not everyone uses a wheelchair full time 💖💖💗💗
