It's a soundcard samplerate issue most likely - I would suggest, because I'm guessing you have an external card, to turn up the samplerate and try different actions while recording to see if it's a driver or interference issue.

When you click YES when choosing a texture it just makes a copy of the texture file placing it in the "tex" folder alongside the .c4d file
