You are the Ingmar Bergman / Lasse Hallstrom of Model Railroad videos! After watching and reading many videos and articles on operations, yours just paints it perfectly succinctly. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work

Thank you! 👍😊 Operations is what’s makes my train go round! I can sometimes just sit and watch long distance passenger trains run, but most of the time it’s not enough for me. I need the operations!

Thank you for explaining how the Waybill system works. One thing worth thinking about, when constructing a layout.

Would love to see an updated version of this video with all the changes that have happened on the layout plus a detailed walkthrough of every train that is run during a typical session.

Good to hear you liked it and that you set your own system up. :) I think it's a great way to operate the layout.

Excellent, Martin. I have been doing this kind of operations for some time now only without the car cards. The cards do make things a little more interesting. Oh, don't forget to re-bill customers who have not paid their shipping bills yet. LOL. Cheers,Peter.

+strafrag1 Thank you Peter! Hehe! You're funny. I've must admit that I completly forgot to invoice the industries on the layout! ;) Finally I see some income for the model railroading coming my way! :)

What do you use to uncouple the specific cars? I know that there is a digital-controlled coupler option out there for locomotives, but never seen specific cars uncouple like that before, and I couldn't see any built-in track uncoupler...is it magic???

I just think your videos are great. I recently bought a m track layout from an individual that is pretty extensive. No running stock but a lot of switches and trackage. Would like to share some pics with you to maybe get some info and pointers from you.

Martin, the links to the car card and waybill spreadsheets do not work - can you re-link them? thank you.

Very interesting - looks entertaining. Gives yet another dimension to the model railroading. Love your videos. Thumbs up given from Norway PS: at 07:20 I see some very nice prototypical Swedish masts for the overhead catanery wire. May I please ask where you buy these? Thank you.

I would like to ask how you handle connecting and disconnecting cars and locomotives from eachother, I know some of the locomotives have a function that lets you do that from the console, but from what I can see most of yours do not. Do you use a disconnector rail? Or do you handle it manually? I'm very curious to hear it from you.
@jenskiesewetter84747 жыл бұрын
how did you manage that the brake sabots of the locomotives can be heard at low speeds?

how are you able to operate multiple engines independently on the same track
@marklinofsweden6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jo! Operation of multiple engines is possible using a digital system. In a digital system all engines are powered at all times. The track power also contains a data signal which addresses each loco individually. The speed controller for the motor is inside each engine. The speed controller are listening on the track power for new speed commands which matches the address of that engine. Wish you a nice weekend!

Det här är superintressant tycker jag! Kul! :)

+Alexander Ehn Tack Alexander!
@AlexEhn7 жыл бұрын
Mystiken tätnar, vart kommer helixarna in i bilden. Var tvungen att jämföra layoutskissen med de layoutvideos du har gjort. Nördigt, men kul. :)

And I thought I was the only Marklin ops guy. Looks like your excel is from the CC forum, I have the same. You also have Rocrail, it also has a cc admin part. Have you tried jmri ops switch lists? Robert

+robert van ooyen (rvooyen) Hi Robert! Thank you for commenting. I´m not familliar with CC forum.. I Think I downloaded the outline of the waybills and carcards from Fremo webpage, but I´m not sure.. Many years ago... No I haven´t tried the CC admin in Rocrail. I was under the impression it was "under Construction" and not ready for operation yet. Maybe I´m wrong there?
