My favorite part about your channel is when you use brushes to weather. Of course it is a lot faster with an airbrush but not everyone has one. Your tutorials are universal. You are the best!

Very nice how to video. I like how you used clay for the sidewalks and roads. I have not seen that done before. Usually it's done with drywall compound or plaster so this gives modelers another tool in the toolbox sweet!!!!

You might try a rotary cutter, like used for fabric, for cutting the strips of clay. Your set up for getting accurate, even thicknesses of clay paving is great. Just like doing concrete in the full scale world, but I wouldn't have thought about applying it the the scale world.

@donmebius119 Жыл бұрын
I want to thank you for posting this video, and have some questions. I attempted to do this on my layout, but thought it best to try it on a small area first. My layout requires a large area to have the cobblestone street, and it is wider that the 50mm roller that I have. In my efforts to hide the "seam" at the 50 mm line, it turned out terribly! Could you please indicate how you were able to make the seams appear so beautifully? Also, with my sample piece, I am using 3 mm thick guides on the edges. After about 8 hours, the clay I was using was cracking. I should indicate that the sample was created on a piece of polished granite, and that I was using a different modeling clay than what you were using. I am going to try the sample again, but on a different surface. Either way, your advice and experience would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Don in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I see you have a favorite brand of glue. Over in the states, would that be the same maybe as Elmer's glue all? My wood glue is yellow not white. Elmer's glue all is white. Thank you for all the amazing work!

Hi! YEs, Elmers "Glueall" is probably the closest match. I doesn´t say PVA-glue, but I would think that it is PVA-B glue inside it. It says it dries clear. Seems good!
