Amen to in-game credit for builds by community members. Plumbella wasn't even mentioned in the description for the kit she worked on. The game has improved so much with these collaborations; they deserve proper credit. I laughed at the video title; far as I'm concerned your builds are ALWAYS some of the most realistic on the gallery.
@Jessicapie2 жыл бұрын
Yeah they really should have some sort of acknowledgement! They have done it for the items in game that they collaborated with individuals on so I just think it would be nice to see that translate into other areas!

Another wonderful build from you.. I must use this in my game.. Haven’t decided yet what world I want to use it in.. Your builds are so interchangeable with each and every world.. I also love your light trick to clutter shelves and dressers with I need to start using that trick.. However most of the phone wires they now have moved to bury them under the ground at least I’m my area.. They are wires for electric power in the highways for businesses .. In talking about television remotes and what you call it my family calls it the zapper..

This is beautiful! If it's the house I'm thinking of, the original build was by Gryphi, who actually goes into detail about the characteristics of each family member that they were asked to take into account when decorating the house, like how you do with your storylines. Also, having telephone poles on a property IRL can actually be a bit of a money earner (at least here in the UK), because the company who maintains the poles in your area has to pay you for right of access whenever they need to visit.

not that it's the biggest point made in the voiceover, but if it makes you feel any better i'm from the states and "full" bathrooms in basements are more commonplace these days, since finished basements are a bigger selling point/houses being split into apartments need a full bathroom. often it'll just be a shower stall rather than a tub, but still! totally valid for the teen to have their own bathroom!

I personally think that TS4 should make an update where people can build fences on the outer row of the lot, ik its not much of a difference but when building I sometimes make planters and use a short fence piece on it, but I can't put them flush with the boundary line like I want to. It'd also give small lots just a little bit more room for their yards or houses imo
@Jessicapie2 жыл бұрын
Me too! It’s so annoying you can’t build walls or fences right up to the edge!

Going on your family calling the tv remote the tv box, my mom's side of the family and of course my immediate family call the heels of loaves of bread the buckle. My family knows what we are referring to when it comes up in conversation with people outside of my family I get blank stares. Honestly until I was 21 I didn't know that it was only my family that refers the heel of a loaf of bread as a buckle. 🤣

To answer the question of why the sims went to the formal dining table instead of the breakfast nook: if you have parenthood and have a sim place plate mats on the table, sims will automatically go to that table instead of eating at island counters, informal dining, etc. It’s one of my favorite ways to get my sims to eat together. Child-Elder can do it

Firstly, I absolutely love this build! It's honestly incredible. Secondly, this is completely off-topic but in this video you mention that Ash is non-binary and also transgender. Before I go further, I am a trans man, which I think is important to mention as I have a few questions about this and don't want them to be mistaken for bigotry or transphobia anything gross like that. I transitioned as a child, like pretty young as well, I was able to develop along with all the boys at school and no one ever battered an eye. My trans experience has been very privileged in that I've never had to deal with being misgendered after transitioning (although of course before my transition I was misgendered 24/7 365 of the year), as well as a lot of other normal trans stuff like binders and voice training and probably a bunch of other trans stuff I've got no idea about. What I'm saying is that I don't relate to or understand the typical trans experience at all and feel very separate to the community; almost as if I'm transgender on a technicality. Therefore, I didn't realise that non-binary people were trans. I would love to be educated on this if anyone happens to read my long ramblely tangent and would kind enough to take the time to respond to this. As a trans man, I see being transgender as either being assigned male or female at birth while being the opposite. So basically your binary gender doesn't match your reproductive sex organs. To my understanding, being non-binary means that you're not a man nor woman. I am not non-binary though so if I'm wrong, please correct me. Following the rules of my understanding of being transgender (which I'm an expert on because I have spent my whole life being trans), this separates trans people and non-binary people into different yet incredibly similar identities (kind of like adhd and autism being incredibly similar NDs, I have ADHD and most of my friends are autistic). Personally, I don't like to have other groups of gender diverse people lumped into the trans identity as if we're the sims 4 base game that keeps being updated with dlc. I just don't think it's fair to both the trans community or the non-binary community to be labelled as the same when we aren't. I don't know what it's like as a non-binary or gender fluid person, but even with my privileged experience as a trans guy, every single day of my life has been incredibly distressing and emotionally draining thanks to gender dysphoria. And to spend nine years of my life trying desperately to convince everyone I was actually a boy while everyone around me insisted that I was actually a girl and called me by a girls name and used she/her when referring to me was torture, even just typing that was really upsetting and I'm now trying not to cry lol. Is that what being non-binary is like? I feel like it would be completely different, still awful I'm sure being misgendered, but your actual gender isn't being shoved down your throat everywhere you look without having the ability to live as that gender because you're being forced to live as a boy when you're really a girl or in my case, forced to live as a girl (before my wonderful supportive parents took the hint and helped me transition) when I'm actually a boy. If you're non-binary and you're period in life of being misgendered was just as awful as I've described mine to be, please let me know, I absolutely don't want to discredit your experience and say that I've had it worse, I would love to hear what growing up non-binary is like. I personally feel it would be more appropriate for a separate umbrella label that groups any non-cis people while also respecting their individual identities and experiences (like neurodivergent). I'd love to hear from anyone who isn't cis what you think of all of this, whether you agree or disagree with anything I've said above, and again I would love to be taught a little bit more about what it means to be non-binary. I apologise for bringing this heavy discussion into the comments section of a sims speed build video, but if I'm being honest I get a little annoyed when I hear people grouping together trans and non-binary people as we aren't the same, however if the person who made this video is trans or non-binary, I have full-respect for your position on the matter. SUPER DUPER SORRY FOR THE LONG AND MOSTLY UNNECESSARY LIFE STORY I TRIED TO GIVE CONTEXT BUT MY ADHD BRAIN LIKES TO GO ON TANGENTS AND I CAN'T HELP IT!

10:17 I hate to break it to ya but we don’t have telephone polls in America. Like gurl a home like you just built (a 90s vinyl tract home) is not going to have wires connecting to it from poles. All telephone polls are underground and all electricity wires are buried underground since about the 1980s in the USA and even most of the 1950s-1970s homes have no above ground telephone wires. They’ve either all been buried or they were built buried. The house looks great but the news paper boxes and telephone poles are over cluttering this cute lil home
