Dang! It’s a subtle difference, but once you’re aware of it, you can’t help but notice. The sense of scale and immersion seems very much improved, and that’s just from watching on an iPad. Definitely going to be buying this tomorrow thanks for the comparison! 🖖😀

$5 is a rip-off. All this mod does is change some values in an XML. If you're on PC there's a bunch of other free mods that do the same. For instance the "Forest Enhancement Mod", completely free and also adjusts the height of trees in the city.

Got this quite cheap, found it has really improved the sim look especially flying in and out of a lot of bush strips and small airfields as I like. Really nice review!

I’m on Xbox and I’ve had this for a couple months now and it’s great. Just a couple times had some strange trees looked like squares, probably memory issues. But only a couple times.

I bought this last night after a very hairy ILS approach to runway 08 in Samoa, where I was very concerned the glideslope was going to whack my gear into a gigantic tree just before the runway. I don't know if it would have, because I quickly took manual control and pulled up over it, but after a five hour flight from Hawaii, I wasn't going to risk it! That tree has now been trimmed.

At first I noticed nothing either. I was 1000 miles from home in an ultralight when I installed it. BUT.....about 5 days later when I flew home, that's when I noticed it. Houses I could not see before were now visible. Houses I know... and also know spot I could land in real life that the sim took away, were now land-able... (if that's a word).. Absolute game changer! NOW THIS IS REAL!

The problem with this add on is instead of making trees shorter it makes trees smaller(in width) leaving gaps all over the place. They should have just removed the height of the trees but not make it smaller.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! The height of trees, shrubs, bushes, and even grass in MSFS was EVEN WORSE back in the alpha/beta testing time before release. Testers took real vs. sim pics of the same places and eventually tree height got toned down a little, then a little more, then a lot more, and finally we have what we have today in stock, which is, we all know, still WAY too high in most circumstances. Trust me, it was WAY WAY worse originally. Shrub and grass heights have never been reduced in all this time, however, despite being complained of exactly as long. Seriously, why is the grass knee-deep on grass runways, especially those that are frequently used? But that said, I think this mod might be worth getting if it could make an accurate representation of my bailiwick, which is triple-canopy jungle verging on swamp some with some fairly large open expanses of pasture scattered at random. Try the 70775 zip code and show me what that looks like.

take a look at asobos portfolio and history of the other games they developed. Now tell me why MSFS2024 wont be exactly the same as the current sim. Most likely even worse. They are not a good studio and are in way over their abilities. They went from making garfield games and mickey mouse games to a flight sim overnight 🙄They didn't get it right the first time but now they are doubling down on scale and complexity.....that's sure to go smoothly.

Dont get me started on Asobo.....I think they are in way over their heads also. Their Portfolio of Games isnt what I would call something to have faith in when relying on a Company to successfully take over a Flight sim and not ruin it. We already seeing them doing that in many ways and i have ZERO Faith in them when it comes to MSFS2024. Sounds like they are putting all their attention in areas that we dont need, well atleast the PC simmer community. But they seem to be catering for Joe Casual with his XBox controller in hand, snackingon chips and soda while taking his F18 our for a sunday spin and having planty of "Acticities" to keep him happy. Multi is Terrible, LOD is terrible, ATC needs work, the AI voices need work, a big step down from the previous installment. This tree height issue they cant seem to get a handle on, tells you alot. 2024 is going to be a shitshow and a watered down one at that from their big showcase they had. I think the "sim" part of MSFS is going to be watered down to, to a bunch of "activities" "missions" to keep they XBoxers happy with things "to do" Its a real shame, because when im flying by myself and everything is working I love it......but theres so much that needs work and I think Asobo doesnt have a clue where it should be focusing its efforts, adding content like Dune ROFL, give me a break...MSFS is getting XBoxxed for those people who are not simmers and just want a Need For Speed style Flyer. I wont buy 2024 unless i hear positive reveiws from proper flight simmers and not some Loud KZbiner Fanboi losing his twizzlers over rescueing a stranded climber on a cliff face, that will majically pop in your basket from 50 meters away or vanish from sight 50 meters away..itll be a mess. Anyway woteva Asobo....get Good!

@@CaptainKenobi Got it right after I posted that comment, and well, there is a difference but there are still trees that are too tall in some areas, and some trees where there shouldn't be trees at all(but that is another issue all together)

Rex Accuseasons also have the choice of three different tree height. I also have seen freeware mods to change tree height, if I well remember.

Tout d'abord merci beaucoup. Concernant MSFS2024 la très grande majorité des add-ons seront compatibles. C'est vrai que pour celui-là rien n'est moins sûr vu que la futur sim sera basée sur une nouvelle carte satellite et on a vu que les arbres seront plus variés. Tout ce qui touche aux paysages je serais prudent... Pour le reste il ne devrait pas y avoir de problème, sûrement des mises à jour pour les créateurs d'addon mais ça même eux ne sont pas encore au courant ;) Et oui Msfs2020 continuera d'exister pendant plusieurs années ça a été confirmé.

Default are correct in area where I live. With addon trees are too small, so uninstall and refound.

It looks good at first view but if you go to 2 mins and 32 seconds of your video the Tree mod seems to have taken out most of the city (not just the trees)

i don't know about this it turns all the trees in to bush's an shrubs . i don't know about other country's but where i live trees dwarf houses . some of the place it looks right but others its just looks like its removing trees an putting bushes there . i guess if it giving an fps boost is worth it

@@CaptainKenobi Its good bro, although it can give you gradual lag overtime - if you have smooth weather change(have it on instant). Also issues if you use the map enhancement mod - where it pulls google maps. Rex Accuseason, WeatherForce & then parallel42s SimFx is the best combo for me :)

If you make the trees smaller, you'll need to have more trees to cover the same amount of ground. More trees = more processing power.

as someone who has spend much of their working life around trees, the original is better, and even then some trees are too short, you just need to put an aircraft by the trees to see how short many of the default trees are, to charge $5 for this and slap the "Realistic" tag onto it is just feckless and a ripoff.

Well not to be complaining to you unless your the one putting the prices on these things but all I'm saying is it shouldn't cost so much for some digital plane. I would love to fly anyone of the planes they have on the market but I also like to eat and have fuel in my vehicle. I don't know it's hard when you are a plane freak and it's all you can think about but your too broke to even buy a digital plane let alone get a pilot license and plane. Just saying!

I understand perfectly. But some aircraft, even virtual ones, have required the work of one or more people for months, even years if you think of PMDG. There are plenty of free add-ons on PC, but it's a shame that this section never saw the light of day on Xbox...

That's fair. and I do realize that people do put a lot of work into this flight sim and want to get paid. I feel that! It is an amazing piece of work and I love it! I just get a bit razzled when I work my tookis off everyday and if and when I get a chance to get on all I can do is fly the same ol planes and drool all over my controller looking at something I want so bad but can't really afford. although I suppose I could save up for one or two lol

There will always be something "better" , in gaming its never ending. Then you get AccuSeason and a month later something better comes along and on and on and on and on. Theres different mods for different budgets.
