Hullo Robin, I believe that you are truly a fantastic artist and a truly lovely person. Thank you for sharing this painting example, I believe it is an exceptional how to/tutorial! I have a small caution for you and your viewers, MDF and similar products are great surfaces to work on! But, I have had problems with paint lifting so preparing the surface is so important! I use gesso to seal the surface and the edges! I have even sealed the back to help with warping with thinner sheets. You can use an “X” of gesso on the back to help with the warping too! I really enjoyed watching you create this lovely painting and video! It is so full of excellent techniques and ideas for creating art! At the end of the video you ask about content we wish to see, I am always looking for larger size canvas/panels videos, but I know they take so much longer and would span multiple videos, just an idea or subject I would love to see you create! Thank you.

Such a great tutorial! Topic for future videos, knowing when to be finished with a painting, as most of my art becomes unfinished or i dont know how to stop going back and fixing things 😂

Your painting looks like I put my glasses on while looking at the original. :) It's a beautiful interpretation of the reference photo!

Wonderful to see one of your tutorials. I've learned so much from you over time. And it always surprises me how thin your layers are yet the finished piece looks denser. Thanks for this, as always you leave me feeling enthusiastic and itching to get started. ❤
