I keep trying gulp minnows when it's tough and they never produce for me. maybe I'm an idiot.... prolly so. you make it look easy! that's why you're the boss
@GhostTownBluesBand1Ай бұрын
I saw a cool crappie magic trick you might like. bite two segments off. jig it. and use the two segments to space the tail width outward. looked good but I Ain't no crappie...

I prefer the 1 inch gulp minnows because they are easier for panfish to eat. If you are using anything larger, only larger fish will be able to go for em. 👍
@xHawgRyderxАй бұрын
It’s all I use as I target panfish pretty much exclusively. I tried 3 inch vs 1 inch and if they won’t hit the one inch they won’t hit anything in my tackle box.

Rough down here where I'm at. Fishing in my go to lake has pretty much shut completely down. Caught 1 little 3 inch baby bass there last time. Tried going to a reservoir in town that I haven't been to in some time-- 4 small bluegill. The water is down BAD, we desperately need some rain I honestly think that would help the fishing here a ton. I don't get to go fishing near as much as I was in the summer due to my new job, so these fruitless outings are all the more frustrating. Rain isn't expected till at least mid November so I may sadly be done until the turn of the year. It's rough right now.

I fish a local state park but every October they close down for goose season. This time of year I always struggle to find places close by to fish. Keep it Realistic brother!
@RealisticFishingАй бұрын
Just curious how long goose season is?
@TheBambooZeezerАй бұрын
@RealisticFishing My area is from mid October until the January 31st. Then I have to wait for the ice to melt off and bass to get active. So usually mid March I get started again.

Lol dude I thought the club owners were actually shutting down the lake you fooled me there. 😆 Yeah it's that time of year where the fishing does slow down before winter, soon I'll be moving at that nuclear power plant to see if warm water will entice the fish to bite more. 👍

Some may think it ridicules but could you take a few seconds and show how your rigged. I think you used a small jig. Did you thread the gulp minnow the hook or hook it I think you had a through the nose I think you had a crimp weight about a foot up ? And bobber set at like 3 feet? Sorry but I don't have good vision and I'm watching on a old small iPhone screen Oh was it a colored jig head It looked quite small. Hate to bother. Just want to try copying what your doing to see if it works here. 1 inch gulp minnow black ?
@RealisticFishingАй бұрын
I am using a weighted clip on cigar float, 3-4 ft above a size 8 or 10 hook or jig head (BG-1 Jig head). If I use a jig head, I skip the pinch on sinker. If I use a plain hook, then I use the pinch on sinker. Hope this helps...
