sequoia is bigger than the LX, yet it looks more luxurious in some trims. tx is the biggest suv in the Lexus lineup in terms of space

Toyota / Lexus has gone to hell since they fired Mr Toyoda the original CEO. None of these newer cars live up to Lexus standards before they started cutting corners using more plastics and cheaper materials. This new CEO sucks!

Yep. When they ditched their naturally aspirated engines to appease the climate freaks in the US, their reliability went down. They’ve completely ruined their reliable reputation. Tundra, 4Runner, Tacoma and Land Cruiser are all tuined

They detuned the GX to 350-ish HP so it wouldn’t compete with the LX600’s 400-ish HP. So very little chance of the V6 hybrid. 4cyl hybrid from Landcruiser is far more likely.

@ it wont sell if thy use the 4 cylinder. If that is the case, Apples to apples, the LC would be a better and cheaper option for off-road (lighter) I bet it will be a detuned hybrid v6

@@juanfersan the hybrid will be the exact same 4cyl turbo used in the LC. They are already selling in overseas (google it). It’s not a refined engine and not tuned for efficiency. Marginally gets better mpg in real life vs the GX.

Lexus already builds a midsize and full size crossover so you can buy one of those if this is too truckish. It’s nice to have an option with different attributes. (Also, it’s only solid at the rear and it rides well for a truck based suv)

Why does Lexus have one of the ugliest navigation systems on the market. I don't understand why they can't have it fit under the dash like the older models. The new Bentleys has it under the dash so why can't Lexus. It's all of the Lexus brands.

The Defender is pretty sick too but it’s far from a one sided fight. A ldefender isn’t nicer imo unless you spend serious cash (granted, I have limited experience with the Defender). I like the features and the lift you can get with the Rover but the reputation and solid rear axle of the Lexus entices me more personally. Plus the base Defender engine isn’t nearly as potent. I’d love to put that comparison together!

The Land Rover may excel on the road, but it falls short off-road. Unlike the Lexus, which is built on a body-on-frame design, the Land Rover simply won't stand the test of time. The Lexus is the superior choice for long-term durability.

No it doesn’t… it reeeeeeeeeally doesn’t 😂 The gx is overpriced, ugly to look at, interior is worst in class, dated infotainment, cramped back seats, small trunk, unreliable twin turbo v6, slow performance, pathetic handling and driving experience, crappy ride due to the live axle, and its way overpriced. 15 years later and this is all we get?😂 As usual for Lexus, the Gx is another dead on arrival product
