Luka doncic apparently led the nba in turnovers last season but carried his team to the finals and averaged a near triple double on the season… so clearly the more you have the ball the more turnovers you will have… especially as a passing guard, so everyone saying Caitlin isn’t good because of turnovers, her teammates can’t even catch a pass to save their lives. CC is a rookie who just began playing in the WNBA last month on the worst team in the league. The fact that they're even mentioning her name in the same sentence with DT is a testament to her greatness. If the Fever loses nobody will be surprised. If CC holds up against the abuse she's about to walk into, DT will welcome the Rook into the fold. All CC has to do is survive, that's it, however...if she does what she's been doing so far, there's gonna come a point where she gets lit and starts dropping bombs and making her Larry Birdesque passes and that place is going to go on fire. They should RE-name their team to the Phoenix Foulers. More egregious fouls than a CPA could count under their ridiculous mask of “physicality” and were just outright flagrant hitting and not even close any part of playing basketball. Cunningham, Cloud, and Copper should have been taken to jail to serve some time for their ridiculous fouling. And yet again, the referees showed their incompetence. They appeared at times to be trying, but they were overwhelmed by all the absurd fouling and had poor control of the game. I have never seen anyone guarded full court as hard as they did to Clark, and she still burned them with double figures. Phoenix got what they deserved in front of an amazing record crowd.

They are both great but Diana has stood the test of time and excelled. Taurasi won 3 NCAA championships to 0 for Clark, that's huge but Connecticut was a much better team and program than Iowa. One thing about Taurasi in college under Auriemma she did not have anywhere near the unlimited green light to shoot especially from deep distances that Caitlan had at Iowa. Auriemma would have blown a fuse if Taurasi took early in the clock logo 3's like Clark. It was a different era before the Steph Curry effect where if you get the same amount of points right behind the line you don't show off from 35-40 feet especially when your team is better like UConn was. Taurasi was and still is an outstanding shooter and she probably could have made those really long shots if she was given more of a green light. I have been impressed by how Caitlan is playing the point guard position with her passing, dribbling and overall movement, she may prove to be a better point guard than Taurasi. I think Taurasi is more of a combo shooting guard/small forward.

The stats are dramatically up for the WNBA IN EVERY CATEGORY. Thanks to CC. Now people can see some of the other great players they have been missing. DT is certainly one of them. BG is just a bully bad girl. I expected so much more. They have got to work on the athleticism to me more exciting to watch and hold the audience. IMHO lose the basket ball that looks like a toy. What's with the stripes? It makes it look like a kids game and it is not.

If CC had her usual shooting game it wouldn’t have been close-which says something about the Olympic choice. They needed to give that position to CC instead of DT mainly for experience for the next Olympics. It seems like the powers that be don’t want her to have it all. They took away one Olympic gold from her record to give it to DT so she can be the goat (perhaps forever if you count Olympic golds). Taking her out so she doesn’t get her triple double, again would have broken a record. This doesn’t happen in men’s sports.

Sports is the easiest way to 'see' competition....men/women, doesn't matter for me = it is one style vs another....no one really loses (despite what experts, many who cannot play the sport at all....kinda like rating a movie when you've never made one)....the joy is seeing someone do something you didn't think they could do...

DT is blowing her opportunity to encourage CC, her once-upon-a-time devotee who helped inspire CC to where she is today. DT could be the ambassador of the game, welcoming all the rookies into the league, and in particular CC. I hope she rethinks her position before it's too late for her. It is almost too late now.
