The only illusions are the sense of "self," the sense of being someone and by extension consciousness, along with everything else unique to being humans. Everything that we most cherish about ourselves does not even exist because the self that we believe we are does not even really exist. The self is a mirage. Some, for no apparent reason, have had this illusory sense of self apparently fall away. Though it never was to begin with. The joke is on all of us, which is virtually every human, in believing that we have existence. That's only a downer story for the self that imagines it is real. It's just simply so that there is no one and nothing behind anything, including the appearance of this entire universe. It's all ever inscrutable and unkowable down to it's very corelessness and centerlessness. No down really, or up, or inner, or outer. Nothing really happening. And nothing that has ever happened, other than apparently so.

@It's curtains for you doll Hey! I hear what you are saying and really appreciate your heart ❤ You are right that humor can help people transcend above all the trivial nonsense like "race", gender, religion, politics, etc. The HUMAN RACE needs to realize we are ALL ONE RACE, HUMAN, and stop diving ourselves based on so called "race" based on skin color, ethnicity, creed/religion, difference in political beliefs, etc. I really was touched by your beautiful comment and thoughts and thank you for sharing them with me and everyone else. We all need to LOVE ONE ANOTHER and show each other compassion, truly caring for each other and helping one another who are in need, realizing that we are all the same, struggling through life, trying to find meaning through all of our hardships and dissapointments... We all have a lot more in common than we have differences, if we truly take the time to befriend one another and open our hearts to each other. Much Love to YOU and thank you again for your loving words ❤ I have prayed to Jesus Christ that you have all the blessings you deserve in LIFE and that you meet and are loved and cared for by a like minded person. A true friend.

I thought I was the only one that felt like this. I believe that in our strive to control what we dont understand we turned our backs on mother nature. That pissed her off so conscience is our punishment. Self awareness is a brain disease brought on by us because we went against the only thing that's real and true witch is nature herself.

I would suggest spending more time in the subset that tells us consciousness is not of the material world, the one examined by the scientists and physicists in hopes of dissecting it and putting it into a mathematical equation, but they can’t seem to find consciousness let alone explain it or even define it. They cannot see past their material noses to see that which is not material, consciousness, but they use it to try to understand and explain it. Like a dog chasing it’s own tail. And it’s no coincidence that I compared science to dogs as dogs also lick their woo woo birds as one of the other replies mentioned and I’m sure they explained that story from their mastery of that endeavor. But from simple observation by a rational mind that isn’t chasing their own tail on an inward spin to woo woo land, it can be deduced that there are creators and creations. Creations do not look at themselves or their surroundings to inspire or appreciate their beauty but rather it is the creators who enjoy and very much appreciate what they have created. Much the same way we put our young children’s masterpieces on our refrigerator with magnets. It’s how we wait in line for just the short chance to stare at the Mona Lisa, even if only for a brief moment to spark and ignite our imagination. But creations are made of the material elements and limited by space, time and matter. But our consciousness is not made of these, as if they were, then the scientists would have found it by now, dissected it, and forced it into a mathematical equation so that they can pat themselves on the backs for being the masters of the universe that they are. But they can’t do that and will never be able to do that. But the irony of that is how can one dissect itself? It cannot. But the consciousness can appreciate and experience and marvel at its creations and just as we marvel at the Mona Lisa, we also marvel at the moon and even the universe. For they are creations, made by creators, who enjoy their creations. So please enjoy the moon in the same manner and joy that you have when you look at those pictures your children brought home from school that you put on your refrigerator. But don’t try to take the moon to your grave as we all know by the example of the Egyptian Pharaohs that we can’t take our treasures with us for they are only material, but we can take with us the joy and love and appreciation and awe, which are non material and do stay with our non material consciousness. Enjoy the movie 🖖

do you believe that pure existence doesn't exist Like if we take away everything that has the property of existing like the cosmos right and let's say you got rid of it then we would just have pure existence or pure act like we would have non-existence since non-existence doesn't exist since it's non-existence If existence was intrinsic to the property of a thing then how can things not exist then? You know what the diffence is between a Cat that exist and Cat that does not? One has the property of existence and the other does So Basically pure existence would be this property of existing in and of itself So we've arrived at the "bottom" of reality with something that isn't dependent. Something with no potentials, and is the realest thing there is. That is, something fully actual. But why label it "God?" Aquinas spends many, many chapters on deriving the divine attributes, but I'll only cover a few very briefly here, to get the flavor. Matter and energy can both change location, change configuration, come together, break apart, and so on. So they have all kinds of potential to change. Something that is pure actuality, with no potentials, must therefore be immaterial. Having a spacial location means being movable, or having parts that are actually located over here but not actually located over there. Something that is pure actuality, with no potentials, cannot move or change or have parts that are non actual. Therefore, pure actuality is spaceless. If subject to the effects of time, it would have the potential to get older than it was. But since it has no potentials, it has no potential to get older. Therefore, pure actuality is timeless. If there is a distinction between two things, that means one has something that the other lacks. But pure actuality does not have potentials, and therefore lacks nothing. So pure actuality is singular. There is only one such thing. Pure actuality is the source of all potentials being actualized. Anything that happens is a potential thing becoming actual. Therefore, anything that ever happens or could happen is caused by pure actuality. So pure actuality is capable of doing anything and is therefore all-powerful. Now, unless you are a Platonist (and Aquinas is not), there are only two ways something can exist: as a material thing, or as an abstract concept in a mind. For example, the concept of "dog" can exist as an abstract idea in a mind, or as a material thing in the form of an actual dog. That is, the form of dog can exist either unconstrained by matter (the idea of dog) or constrained by matter (an actual dog). Since pure actuality exists unconstrained by matter, it must exist as knowledge. Also, "ignorance" is not a positive reality of its own, but rather is a lack of knowledge and hence an unrealized potential. So pure actuality is all-knowing. We can say that a thing is "good", not in the sense of being "something we personally like" (you may think a good pizza has anchovies, whereas others may not), but in the sense of being a better example of what it is supposed to be. When that thing better exemplifies its perfect archetype. For example, an elephant that takes care of its young, has all four legs, ears, and trunk is "good", or closer to "good", in the sense we mean here. If the elephant lacks something, such as a leg, or one of it's ears, it would not be as "good" as it would be if it had both ears. Since pure actuality has no potentials, it lacks nothing, and is therefore all-good. And NOW...Aquinas' conclusion is retroactively justified: "...and this everyone understands to be God."

do you believe that pure existence doesn't exist Like if we take away everything that has the property of existing like the cosmos right and let's say you got rid of it then we would just have pure existence or pure act like we would have non-existence since non-existence doesn't exist since it's non-existence If existence was intrinsic to the property of a thing then how can things not exist then?

You most certainly agree with everyone. You are not the front of your mind where you think about issues and politics and ideas. So long as you exist in this part you cannot alter your beliefs about physical reality. That is the agreement talked about. Belief and not just conscious beliefs but unconscious ones. Things that you feel are Beyond an independent interpretation things that you just consider to be facts and qualities of the universe you are in.

“"The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.” " ― Bill Hicks

Be thankful and humbled by the realization that our consciousness is not of the material world which is limited by space, matter and time, which we experience life from a body that is also limited by space, matter and time, but experienced by our consciousness which is eternal, rather than material. And to appreciate it all, we need not wait until our last dying moments as Steve Jobs did for his last six words before dying were: “…oh wow, … Oh Wow, … OH WOW!!!” So remember to clean up after the movie and don’t leave trash all over the theater because our children and our grandchildren are going to use this same theater to watch this same movie. World would benefit from understanding this. People have differing perspectives on many things, but having one perspective doesn't make the other wrong, it's just different from yours, and the right view is a combination of both. There has to be an acceptance that your view isn't the final view, and for the sake of progress, these views have to meet in the middle.

i have thoughts and beliefs that i can’t always put into words that other people understand; or my differing beliefs become muddled by axiomatic norms. pursuit of wonder helps me organize those thoughts and be able to store more files into those thought compartments so i have more to back up those thoughts.

I have just finished reading “ever deeper honesty” a PDF/ book that can be found when typed in on google and am struggling to come to terms with the truth behind it. It deals with subjects such as efilism, Antinatalism and most obviously pro mortalism. I have never experienced a existential crisis like this before. I know that life is a illusion but this book makes that fact look like child’s play compared to what’s written, I’m just asking out there if anyone has read it to just give some ways as to how they have been dealing with it, because it pretty much gives you two options in the end 1: to do “that” 2: to continue living in the lie that is life to cause and receive suffering. Thank you

Basically stating that it does not matter if consciousness is a mystery or that life is a mystery, these concepts are pointless to talk about because they take us further away from the realities we face everyday that are 99% suffering, so we must just ponder about anything to hide this fact

It’s really not that hard. Pretty much all you gotta do is get the mindset of “I know nothing, for I cannot know everything” and you’re pretty much good to go. Actually I don’t even know if that’s right but whatever.

Love how the videos are about how nothing matters and matter doesn’t even exist. That, when you are right you are just as wrong. With a conclusion that even though all this is true. We must continue to move on in this madness and learning until the light changes color. Be at one with yourself, Be at one with the space around you, Be at one with life and death. For it is forever and never.
