There should be some Indian community doctors and clinics in Toronto that provide faster services than normal. There are Vietnamese and Chinese doctors working in their own communities. In Montreal, they even have a Chinese hospital in Chinatown.

In USA, if you have good health care insurance and can afford paying for deductible, copayment, and part of the premium through employer paycheck deduction, then you are okay. Even prescription drugs are expensive. Many restaurant workers (with low wages) carry the bare minimum in their health care insurance. Yes, they are insured. But they could not afford paying for the extra expenses (deductible and copayment) so they try not to see their doctors. A surgery with a few days of hospital stay can cost $10,000 USD out-of-pocket (with insurance) easily. Unpaid health care bills is the leading cause for personal bankruptcy in USA. Some are simply uninsured.

It is true. Living expenses and housing prices have really gone up.
