Reality of OFF GRID Living with Children - FREE BEACH Camping in Albany, WA

Welcome back to another episode and thank you for being here.
In this episode we FINALLY found a dream camp at Bettys Beach, WA and how incredible it was. We definitely recommend staying here if you ever get the chance.
For us, Staying here was quite a uncontrollable rollercoaster although its a place we will never forget.
On the next episode we spend some time along the Kalgan River in Albany where we explore more and fish for Mulloway!

Hey, I live 150km north of Albany, and its our local area for major shopping. We were there yesterday (5/5/24), just for a day out, and its a joke, it always has been. Albany seems to be way behind the times with sunday trading, and even the locals want to see it happen like many of the other major regional hubs, but Im not sure why it doesn't. Love watching you guys, and enjoy your travels with your beautiful Family 😊

I would say in most country towns shops are closed on Sundays. In the cities ie, Bunbury, Perth Geraldton, nearly everything is open on Sundays. Also in small country towns a lot of places close at lunchtime on Saturdays. Just have to plan a bit.

Albany is a city, and the nearest major hub isnt for another 3 to 400km. I live near Katanning, and our woolworths is open 7 days, go figure.

Hey Luke, would water use be better with a 110 litre water bladder in your back seat footwear and pump it across to your van, then when u go to town you can get 110 litres plus a couple of jerry cans and leave the van stay put. When your travelling have it mt for weight

Also remember our city does not have a population as high as the east coast . When they extend our hours for certain reasons, you can go to a shopping centre and it is practically empty. I dont know how a business can justify opening for that.

We are living full time in a caravan up in Holloways Beach Cairns after the floods but find that it doesn't cool down very quickly after a sunny day. Love ya's xxx

Hello! Thank you! So glad your enjoying watching. Its so tricky in the heat, the caravan heats up super quick and then gets cold quickly too. For us we try and get out of the caravan during the day on hot days and head towards to water for a swim ect although sometimes thats a little tricky with scarlett as she still needs her daytime naps. We actually have these portable usb air coolers, they are called the Evapolar in the light range and they do offer some more cool in the bunk bed area but its just one of those things i think! Miss Holloways Beach, its so beautiful there!

U can get ketone test strips. Would be handy to keep a eye out for yhe next sickness. One of my clients had this problem he was diabetic. My 2 kids get sick so much going to thses public schools. Its a week of missery for all

Please get your daughter’s urine tested. Same thing happened to us and luckily we had an older retiring doctor who checked our daughter’s urine and the emergency department said it saved her life. She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and we were on the road at the time too. All the best and stay safe. ❤

Hi guy's Good job on snagging the camp. The reason they shut down the camping spots is so pro salmon netters rape the area of fish which is then used for crayfish baits not human consumption, unreal. They banned it in sth auz now the big migration of salmon is growing every year. In regards to shopping etc W.A doesn't stand for windy always it stands for WAIT AWHILE i lived there for yrs it's so exspencive to live n shop Great To see that Luki is finally catching fish not filming running about the jetties loloo Safe travels Much love 💙

Awesome episode once again. I have a couple of questions. Our dog is almost coming to the end of her life (she’s got the big C). Are you encountering many problems travelling full time with a dog on where you can/can’t go. I personally don’t want the restrictions on having another dog once ours has passed on, but the good wife wants another one. And, how many K’s have you done since you left Vic, and how much have you spent on fuel. As a fellow Y62 owner, it’s always interesting on how much to try and budget for, for the longer trips that we’re planning on doing. Wow, half a year already. Safe travels.

Hey Mark! I’m so sorry to hear. Honestly travelling with Rocco is quite tricky. There’s a lot of place restrictions with Rocco especially national parks but there’s a lot of dog baby sitters around too! We wouldn’t do it without him though, he loves travelling around with us and we love it with him. Kms and petrol spent is something I’ll have to work out haven’t gone through it properly before!

Don't bother with a Zapper ... Mosquitos are attracted to scent and not light..... Get a Thermocell or a Mozfog.... Apparently the Mozfogs are great 🤙🏼

Oh and do yourself a favor, buy a ryobi drill for your caravan legs. Your using a rattle gun, and they wont last long. Use a drill and its just like a powered handle haha

Hello! We do turn on the gas hot water 30 minutes before we use it as it takes a bit to heat up but if we were to consistently have it on it would use all our gas. 😊
