Dear the deshbhakt team, I think you should have included the play "Ravan ki Ramayan" in which Punit Issar plays role of Raavan. The play also depicted similar narrative including Raavan's perspective, tale of Shurpanakha, Raavan accepting for being purohit of Ram (Yajman) for Shiv Yadnya, Importance of wife, Love between husband and wife etc. The play does not feature latest technologies like background screen etc but the stunning voice of Punit ji take the play to the highest level superbly. Also, there is a lovely song sung by actress playing role of Seeta maiyya. If you haven't seen the play, then I recommend that you should also enjoy watching it. The biggest lesson in both ramayan and Mahabharata is Ramayna is based on idealism In ramayan , almost every character was ideal in it's own way , but those who weren't ideal eg - kakai and ravan were realist but they eventually got defeated. Mahabharat is opposite of ramayan , it is based on realism , every character is realistic by nature , those who were idealistic in Mahabharata for eg - yudhishthir , he lost his empire due to his idealistic nature . Later pandava won coz of Krishna's realistic diplomacy and approach. Lesson - we should act idealistic in the time of idealism. And act realistic in the time of realism. We should balance it both of the approach.

Yuddhistira didn't lost his empire being idealistic. You aren't idealistic when you literally decline the suggestion of Krishna,whom Arjuna and all respected a lot to not to play gambling. Yuddhistira went even more ahead with his brothers at stake and at last his own wife. Yuddhistira did blunder here. What I can assume here is let's say a country A worked very hard on diplomacy, took moral stand on every event of world and earned huge soft power in the world. But one wrong decision of that country A can ruin all it's achievement. Same with peoples life. One mistake may ruin all your achievements.

The beauty of Hinduism is it is open to interpretations. That's why we have different schools of philosophies like Nyāya, Vaiśeṣika, Sāṅkhya, Yoga, Pūrvamīmāṃsā and Vedānta. Each interpret the text books and principles with different perspectives. But nowadays everyone is quarreling in internet about how their way is the only way. Paradoxically the story of Ravan becoming a pandit and helping Ram to build the bridge that would possibly lead for his demise was said by a Muslim uncle to me, when I was a kid. Many bhakts might not know this story even, and we land up taking Hindu Muslim differences on many aspects of our lives.

The thing about having a diverse, open and most importantly "tolerant" culture is, your enemy knows how and when to mould your ideals and values against you, and since there is no such thing as "Hardcore Documentation" like the people of the book, one can be naive to get under the influence of anyone telling anything without cross checking with authentic sources. 😏😏 That's why it's very important to understand the nitty gritty of one's own 'Dharma' and also ready to do a comparative study of other's religion/pantheons/sects etc. It's very important to understand the concept of universal words like tolerance, brotherhood, war, evil, etc from the perspective of others too. Most importantly it's also important to understand where to set a boundary, so that no one can use your principles against you only (Mahabharat granth is a prime example of it). Remember we Sanatanis don't give a damn about proclaiming and preaching our ideology as superior or not, but have to understand there are certain ideologies which believe in this quite radically and believe in the concept of Book or Sword. And the sad part is that, after all these years, with all sorts of modern advancements they are not only stuck with those sick "commandments" but to the horror of society they use those advancements of technology to infuse terror to Humankind just to stamp their authority and also to gain unfair advantage. Henceforth, I recommend you and all other people to go through this masterpiece of a book to understand not only about own Dharma but to also do a comparative study of other religions. As someone who grew up watching "Ramayana:The Legend of Prince Rama." by Yugo Sako, I was in dire search of a better version of Ramayana which would speak to the audience of today and instill the same value system that was inspired from Prabhu Ram. And I gotta say, you made a very important point towards the end of the video, i:e we should read/watch Ramayana not as a novel or story but to understand and get the true messaging, meaning and value system that it is meant to impart... Which is also what I try to do whenever I read Quran, i:e not only read it in its Arabic form but also sit with its English translation to understand the weighty message, the context in which it was said in order to best capture the essence of the mighty message. Would ❤ to watch 'Humare Ram' if given an opportunity and learn and derive lessons from it... Rahull R Bhuchar adds a fresh touch and looks appealing as Ram , Asutosh Rana looks ever magnanimous as Ravana... Hats off. Take a bow Asutosh Rana Sir. #JaiShreeRam 💯🔥

Ramayan was ,is and always will be valuable to true Indians. The only difference is majority of my fellow Indians chose daman in place of naman...they chose what Ram was strictly opposed to. I am saying this as an atheist...and my father has an extensive knowledge about Ramayan and Mahabharat...he is too an hardcore atheist. That is essence of Ramayan and Lord Ram...I will always be an atheist and yet I will always respect Him.
