First of all, this voice sounds GREAT. Better than Vocaloid, in my opinion. And this is probably the best vocal synthesis demo that I have seen - informative and entertaining. My problem is with the interface. You showed me the very good technical reasons why different vowel and consonants need to be combined based on "where you are" and "where you are going". But expecting me to break down my lyrics into the code needed to generate realistic sounding vocals is probably more than I am going to be able to pull off. If you could combine this excellent sound library with a front end that can analyze my lyrics and generate the the pseudocode needed to produce good sounding vocals, that's something I might consider buying. Again, I am really impressed with the sound of the instrument, but the interface seems intimidating to me.
@Realitone
@Realitone 6 жыл бұрын
Totally fair comment. You're not alone in preferring that the front end would require less fiddling. We're hoping to be able to make it that way, and include an English "translator" that does the conversion for you. It's challenging, though, so we're making no promises. Yet. ;-)

That's awesome - if you like the tone of her voice and having only one projection tone throughout and no round-robins. Take this, add a 2nd set of samples (yeah, 24,000 total) and do a louder projection of everything, double that to create a variant for each sample randomly triggered and this would be mind-blowing! Or not. I guess if you need that, just hire a singer.

Hi, I used to write a comment here with an example of the words Ave Maria: aah veh mah ree yah . Now with the Voice Changer application I did a test with German . Because English is used in the application, you cannot write in German letters. I'm sure that in Realivox Blue can also sing in German. Try to enter this text Eesh leebe deesh, or German sentence Ich liebe dich (I love you) . In this way, in the Voice Changer application I made the text "robotic runner" for my song in the style of Kraftwerk . I wrote: roboter loyfer (original word in German : Roboterläufer.) It clearly came out in German. Try it.

I must disagree. EastWest SC is a great tool, however it requires a meticulous work to make it sound the way we want, just exactly as Mike shows us in the video, you must be creative when you are using realivox. We can't expect (at least for now) that a software sings the way we want by just typing words, there's a lot of variables in vocalization. Programming is the key and ajustments using our ears is the tool to get it work. I'll get this beautiful library for my productions right away, but I'm aware there's a learning curve

The lack of inclusion of a schwa-type vowel is a huge oversight in most of these programs. Not having one blocks of much of English (as well as French). I can't fathom why such a foundational sound is universally excluded. Also, would "I" come out better by crossfading the aa/ee rather than treating them as separate syllables? Probably something better done in post (render the two syllables into separate tracks and fade between them). I also wanted to say that the system sounds amazing! There are very few artifacts from switching between samples, and very little engine noise. Well done!
@Realitone
@Realitone 9 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Clark I hear you. Our original intent was not to do full on English. In fact, that's why I show the example she can't sing quite right in the video. However, lots of people (like you) DO wish she did full on English, so I brought her back and recorded the missing vowels, as well as a few extra consonants. We hope to release that update later this summer.

This is a pretty cool program I must say :D I like the realistic tone in the voice, and the research and work put into this project is outstanding, and a total of over 12000 samples is great! But, I do have to say that I really don't like how the user interface is set up. As a pretty frequent user of other vocal synthesizers (Vocaloid/UTAU/CeVIO/ChipSpeech) I can't really get why it was chosen for the interface to be set up this way. Having the ability to make phonetic connections so easily is a really nice feature, but it would work SO much better and much more easy if you had a type of dictionary, (and I hate to compare, but like Vocaloid and Chipspeech do) that has words followed with a phonetic match! Like in this case, a user could type in "hello, i'm a robot" and it automatically plays "heh loh ah eem eh ee roh baht." The way that the phonetics, along with the settings, are set up makes it seem like it's very hard to work with and get to sound how you want it to D: Otherwise, it has a lot of potential, but I can't see the product as is being worth the price tag!

Very nice it's elaborate I have a question though, are her vocals all under one harmonic tone or are there separate round robins for every note? Also what is the limit of fast and slow tempo before her voice starts sounding robotic. Also for future ambiances, please add the feature of separate microphones positions for more audio freedom. But very nice review highly sought out library
@Realitone
@Realitone 8 жыл бұрын
That would be great, but bear in mind this sort of instrument is really time intensive to make, because there are around 20,000 samples as it is now. If we added round robins, that would multiply that number, which would add tremendously to how long it takes to edit. It's the same with dynamics - she sings softly, but if we added harder tones, it would add a ton of work.

One question that I'm unclear about (maybe you mentioned it but I missed it)- After I construct a bunch of WordBuilder phrases and set them to keyswitches, can I save the whole bank of phrases so that if I'm working on a song and I need to close my sequencer and continue working the next day all those phrases I typed in will be there the next day? I'm imagining that if I just save the Kontakt/Realivox patch it will save all those phrases I typed in? Also is there a way to save a ton of phrases and them load them into Realivox instead of having to recreate them each time I work on a new song?
