Great show - just found this yesterday 7/17/23. I think it is great how HG agreed to an interview @ you; a small channel too! You asked some great questions. I have learned so much about human nature - 15% of people are narcs - i can process the difficult people and let my frustrations go in regards to the awful politics in the USA and the world. Trump, Biden, Putin etc ( most of the world leaders except Queen Elizabeth, may she RIP and Prince William ( thank God he is A Normal), are narcs. It's a no win for us. I agree @ you about HG's voice. Don't be fooled, he can get really dark and vile - Do not listen to his recent piece on Harry's Wife and the roast chicken... gah, you can't unhear and mentally clean your brain of some of the things he describes ( sex). I'm 68 and didn't know how some people behaved. Yuk

Enjoyed this interview. I fell out when H G referred to Harry’s wife something along the line of the Duchess of Beige and commingled that description with a clip of Megan saying she only wore beige or muted colors to blend in and not take attention away from presumably senior members of the Royal family. H G had her pegged so perfectly, and she’s just delusional.

Watching Karlyn's reaction to this video should be used in teaching environments. HG Tudor will say something, and then Karlyn's reaction serves as a real-life example of what HG just said. The thing about narcs is they are like robots, they all act the same way and respond to the same cues. Once you figure them out, they are almost pathetically boring and tediously predictable. That's when they lose their power.

Yes. The interviewer opens up too easily, shows moments of supplication. The female voice needs to stay low to have authority. She shows openings for a Love Bomber, could get hooked if she doesn't study the red flags (as via Quora), and school herself thoroughly on all the traits of a Narcissist. That goes for all of us. HG is still the best source to know Narcissism but Quora Q&As come in close second.

As Keri was being her lovely, compassionate, earnest self, I was sitting here thinking, what is he lying about? If he's as he (grandiosely) describes himself, he won't be sharing any truth that conflicts with (or undermines) his needs and aims, so he will never be a reliable narrator of his own behavior or psychology. I think it's way more interesting to look at how he's being manipulative with the bits of truth he doles out, and how that shows how his mind works, than to listen to what he says and take it at face value as an insight into his mind. Still, an interesting conversation.

I have better sources of information. I do find it curious that you feel the need to defend him from people taking him at his word about what kind of person he is and reacting accordingly. Did he not recommend people avoid narcissists like the plague? I happen to agree with him on that point, I just don't see a need to make a special exception in his case.

You've just given him exactly what he wanted. 😅 My brothers a high functioning narcissist. His biggest turn on, is when he gets people who stop and interact with his narcissism. Especially the people that try and 'study' him and point out 'Ooh I could tell that he did this and wasn't being honest with this part and I'm shrewd enough to not be taken in. I'm not gonna be the victim!' Ironically , that person is the one person that's given him everything he wanted. Here's a tip for those that aren't used to dealing with people who are actual narcissists. (Very rare) If they tell you they're a narcissist, they're looming for OPs 'ooh I'm on my guard! Ya won't get past me' reaction. The best going you can do is ignore it. Put it into a box in your mind and move on. (No offense OP) 😊

I think narcissists come in all shapes and sizes. I've met a few very high-functioning ones that are very successful in business, and actually have friends. With a gradient for everything in between.

Thank you, it's fantastic. You're very sweet, learn to play wit your settings as well and open up to other fields, we look in others what we need in us. One can be complementary with a narcissist, the problem is that if they're malicious they would never care about you, this for suck your energy up, your creativeness wishes to melt aside or with the other, or back and fore when your energy+creative time/space is moving with the other, both on any design. There are evolved narcissist whom don't need to lie or have many woman, others to take from you to give to the new or maintain the old facade of being well known. They will care for you because you're part of them, it's very difficult that they would be part of you or your creation, you can be on the side, yet you're giving them something that it's more than the structure. Narcissist have a strong sense of structure and dealing, management. The other extreme have the energy, are the cream of life, the colour, that which has been rotten inside of them and they need so much. They need it, but rejected, its nearly impossible for them to find their neglected heart, and I don't mean about being uncomfortable, but being in a state of purity or love, or clear awareness for them is a sense of loosing control. The attraction is the need, aware of not. Is a magnetism. Many or a higher level of conciseness can vanish from their ego and or trauma and become one entity.

For people interested in more info on Narcissism, I highly suggest Ollie Matthew's channel Refuge from Narcissism. I've learned more from him than anyone else. Tudor is ok, but gets really repetitive and is lacking the human element. He basically just classifies people into different tiers of narcissism using the same base criteria without really getting to the emotional processing side. Ollie really gets it, as a survivor of narc abuse himself. He also goes into societal narcissism in politics and trends, which would be of interest to people of this channel.
@somethinggood9267 Жыл бұрын
27 minutes in, and I definitely disagree. We shouldn't ignore when we see people abusing other people, that makes us complicit. If it's just an internet squabble, that's fine. But if somebody is actually being abused and you do nothing about it, that makes you somebody without empathy. Of course HG would give you advice as to just save your own skin and ignore the problems of others, but that's not advice coming from somebody with empathy. If we did come into contact with another Harvey Weinstein for example, we would need to gather data and be sure that we had definitive proof before we brought anything before a court of law. You can take down people who do wrong, you just have to make sure you have definitive proof and it's watertight. I get a lot of information from HG about narcissism, but I'm not going to get my morals from him. Edit: by the way I'm not talking about romantic integuments, I'm talking about clear cases of abuse one might be privy to

The psychology discipline is one of the most subversively destructive widespread faults of modern society; starting as the counterpart of philosophy, it has degenerated so much as the latter did so far. It is plainly negative on its own regard, and only needed because of a lack of normal every day conversations of a sincere and direct manner between individuals. Given that the only thing that works for people being treated is cognitive behavioural theraphy, which involves mere common sense and a Very basic logical prospect. Yet because people are antisocial nowadays, living absurdly complicated and confusing lives, they can't even keep up with things that no one would have had a problem with a hundred or more years ago. So those are the basics... As for this individual, he claims to be an "Aware" narcissist, being this related with the idea of the subconscious. This "known/unknown" thing has been conceptualized in many ways so far, about 3 to 5 different ones I think: starting as a way of explaining how one learns stuff such as driving a car and 'retains' it afterwards in order to 'use' it. But what it does mean is entirely subjective and value-driven as far as I see, because he doesn't care about it regarding most people. Nor any narcissist would care in reality. For any dark triad individual, treatment is counterproductive; they react getting worse and more perverse. So, all of what he does is ambiguous. He is not helping monsters, nor strenghtening victims in any clear way. All of the pathologies that psychoanalists came up with (as characteristic) were explained as just psychosis. And now all they do is Vote for whatever new exaggeration comes to mind without any scientific criteria whatsoever; then you get diagnosed; then you get meds that are prescribed on no real analytical basis (such as a biopsy of the brain). And anti-traditional ways of conduct never get called psychotic. This is the problem with psychology. What they think is that the individual limits itself and is against itself, while as before we thought that the important limitations were external, natural, objective. You have to liberate yourself from yourself, you see... You are a problem to get solved, not so the world itself that is hard to interact with. So take up meds, engage on hundreds of useless hours of wacky therapy and never have close social relations in the first place. Nevermind about priests, because "we are the new spirituals leaders now." These people tell others they can abide by any caprices they have; the problem is the world out there, for the most part. That is how they see things. It is wrong and must be rejected. One has to resist the passions, those primal things that these people say are good and a part of anyone, and that is the only way of being free. Freedom is not doing anything but what has to be done. And yes, I would be the one with some "oppositional defiant disorder," or whatever excuse people like that want to come up with. Who cares. They are as consistent as the air we breath. All the while, people like Edward Dutton get smeared and called names by their kind, having tens of books and serious studies on evolutionary psychology... Good job for them. I so hardly hope they leave way for decent people some day. Good day.

As HG says, look at the evidence. One thing I've noticed about KB is, when she's had a falling-out with a group or individual, it's always their fault, never hers. Once the relationship dissolves, she immediately maligns the person or group, which is the standard modus operandi for a narc. Also, when she feels she's being attacked, it's the "they're so mean and out to get me" mantra.

@Mortred992 жыл бұрын
There is definitely the possibility he's not "legit". He might be a mid level narcissist who convinced himself to be something greater in order to gain more control and benefits. A simple question then, the more important: Well, does his material work? If yes, the question of whether he's fake is not really that important. He has a lot of testimony/reviews to suggest that his work is on point, so that's what matters here, I'd say.
@somethinggood9267 Жыл бұрын
Coming from someone who has watched a lot of videos on narcissism, his perspective tends to make the most sense. It makes the most sense as far as how some people are aware and know what they're doing, and how some people are unaware and actually think they're a good person, all the while they are being the narcissist. His characterizations of narcissism are spot on. But as far as why he's doing this, it does garner him a great deal of attention and supply. He also says he wants to build a legacy for himself. I also infer from hearing him speak that he looks down on the "lesser narcissists", as he calls them, with disdain. He doesn't care if he exposes them or their games. As for his own well being, he considers himself smart enough that even if people know this information; he will be able to pull the wool over their eyes in his own life.
