Yep, it was F&F's cover of Suite Judy Blue Eyes that made me follow this band for the last decade or so. I still go back and watch it at least once or twice a year. And agreed, their experience really increases the quality.

Hitchhiking from upstate NY to CA in the summer of 1971, stuck trying to catch a ride on an on ramp near Flint, MI for 12 hours (not knowing that the state prison nearby had just had two inmates escape, and me in jeans, a blue chambray shirt, and boots...). The trucker who finally picked me up explained the error of my mistake. And this song running through my mind much of the time.

I remember playing this song on a stereo console my sister bought in the sixties. I always loved the sound of the music back then. I wish they would perform Simon and garfunkels Scarborough affair . The sixties was turmoil with the drafting of young people and Vietnam. Their voices were perfect back then in this era of time .

So true! One of the best things about the reunion show and vids has been hearing Chase with Maggie & Sammie, as well as Maggie with Sammie & Chase! Sammie is marvelous in harmony with Tim, and though the dynamics of the Foxes lineup takes on different vibes - the songs chosen and masterfully arranged / performed by the Fossils is thoroughly special for the vocalists de jour. They all, together, bring a smile to soul as they feel the songs for us in their own unique way. R.I.P. 🪦 Rock-in-Peace Scott King 🙏

Just the Greatest. I would be in my hootch in Vietnam in 1969 and my friend Larry Bish who had his Guild there would duplicate Paul Simon exactly, and the aesthetics of this masterpiece that still warms my heart just washed over me. It is truly my favorite song

This is so special in every way. But I can’t help but think it was this song that inspired Tim to sing it with Sammie, add Maggie and form a group that in March 2010 would be known at their first gig as Foxes and Fossils. Add Johnny and Toby and later Chase and for this Reunion Concert add Greg, Paul and of course bassist Richard to make THIS SONG SOAR!!

Back on a live stage, I love it! After all these years, my favorite is still Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. When I heard/saw it, I thought my hearing and my eyes had gone funny... I wondered.... how is it possible for such a difficult song in every aspect, to be covered with such clarity and courage! Everything was spot on - nothing was missing and there were only five F&F then. I also feasted on the atmosphere and the good time they were having - couldn't take my eyes of the girls 😇😇
