It never occured to me that the moonlight boy was Griffin on a full moon until you mentioned it, but it makes absolute sense. I don't think the story has absolutely confirmed this yet but it will surely do this soon. I don't think the average reader is supposed to know this yet however. It will be revealed at an emotional moment and unquestionably Guts or casca will end up killing it to defeat Griffin. I should have seen this coming
