Awesome info! Otherwise I was thinking GoPro 8 all over again. Still, most customers would much prefer to change their lens then have to send the camera in. And to help stay out of trouble you could run a clear filter mounted like the ND to protect the lens - though that can sometimes introduce light flare but you can always remove the clear filter.

You can remove it, but don‘t buy this bad spares to replace the protection. In other videos you can see it's broken quickly and it is not waterproof. The camera was defective after contact with water. There are filters from freewell that are simply attached, which also protects the lenses. 😉

you could always apply a very light coat of silicone grease or Silicone RTV sealant or a non hardening sealer like aviation gasket maker - no way water is getting in.

@rickaguilar1833 Insta360 claimed that the camera lens cannot be removed, but it actually can. If you accidentally break the lens, you can easily replace it. However, it's important to note that removing the lens will void the 1-year warranty.
