I was never told I had astigmatism bit this is exactly how I see lights at night. The stars look like sparklers. I was walking in a dark alley around midnight without glasses on. Then i saw 🎇 bobbing up and down from a distance. I was petrified! As it got closer i realized it was a guy with holding a flashlight 😂

I also noticed that I was not able to tell a difference between my current and the 0.25diopter increase as I usually was. Does this. mean my power is increasing slightly? for me, I don't know how to say this but i only have a "small" amount of astigmatism. a lot of people see lines coming out of lights and blurry vision around lights but i only have a little bit of blue and a lot of lines

This is called the fan and block test and it used to find astigmatism cyl power and axis if the px has memory issues like alzeimers so wouldn't remember option 1 or 2 using JCC

90 and 270 are bold to me if i hold my phone normally to the video. I had a question to see if it's just a perspective thing or is everyone seeing the same thing. But before I asked said question I decided to rotate my phone and every set of lines that was in place of 90 and 270 became bold as well while everything fades to a dark Grey. Arm length away isn't possible because I'm shortsighted and I can't see the lines without glasses. But with hand length away I see the lines and I can confirm the test works. I know that I have astigmatism and with glasses the lines are all the same. I seems that my glasses correct my astigmatism very good.

So my glasses correct this and make the lines appear equal... but I have another issue... with my glasses, I see a + halo over bright white light, such as street lights... and also say there's bright white text on a black OLED screen, I can see an annoying white halo on the horizontal axis. Why is this? I take the glasses off, things become unclear, the lines here become unequal, but the horizontal and vertical light halos disappear. I wear my glasses, things are sharp, but the halo on bright light is present.

Question, I just got glasses, i got -3.5 on my left eye and -1.5 on my right eye, i got 1.25 on left eye and 0.75 on my right eye, i'm 21 y/o and first time using glasses, I do have astigmatism, my question would be, I don't really notice much of a diff with the glasses, I do have some problems with the contrast and the text but my doc said it would take time to adapt, but i thought I could notice a difference by now..3rd day using them, any thoughts?

woww this rly rly works. Very simple easy fast test. great I know I have lil bit of Astig in R eye... yes i can see just 1 or 2 full lines stand out more bold darker than others But in Left eye.. very easy see all full lines equally all the same. Big diff between both eyes w this Astig chart test. amazing ! Never seen this used done by any eyeDr test show me or use this for me.. Ridiculous. Bad bad on these US eyeDrs not doing better job using simple tests like this. I wear cl over 50 yrs am nearsighted go to OD and OpthamDr and get regular exams.. so I know all my specs numbers for sure.
