They said that I would never walk again. That the nerves legs were beyond help and that I was to sit my life away in a prison of metal, staring at the fields that called out for me like a feverish lover. What I said however, was that I would fight. I convinced my family to take the wheelchair and I out to the old cliffs, their previously stony faces softened over time with grass. The first steps were the hardest, in a journey they always were. With my wife and son propping up my shoulders I set my feet on the bare pebbles of the road. The pain was horrendous, like liquid lightning coursing through my veins. I said nothing however and gritted my teeth as I set my other foot on the ground, the pain mimicking its brother. A single tear coursed down my cheek, one step that was all I had to take. One step and the journey would begin. I took it, it was the single most beautiful thing of life because through the pain my body responded to me. It wanted me to keep moving, keep fighting, not just for me but for my family, my friends, everyone who knew that this disease would not defeat me. Now, one and a half years later I sit at the same spot and in a single movement I threw the blanket off of my lap, my only protection from the cold in this brisk Autumn evening. I had told my wife to meet us here for her birthday surprise, and I had an old hunting buddy drive me here without her knowing. I felt his rough paw of a hand sit on my shoulder firmly and several short words of encouragement later he walked back to his car. The sun was lazily making its way towards the horizon and its light was a wide orange blanket, washing over the grass, the ocean crashing silently only a mile away, and me. I placed my hands on the grips of the wheelchair and pushed myself up with all the force that I could muster. Now I was standing, wobbly of course, but there was no pain and I was standing! My wife was in the crook of the valley, the white dress she wore when we first met fluttering in the gentle breeze, and her back was to me. I had to stop myself from crying out for this victory, but in that self imposed silence I took a step. Nothing. No lightning, no pain. Another step, same thing. A third, there was a twinge, but it soon passed and before I knew it I had taken a half dozen more, each step resulting in more speed down the shallow ravine. My lungs quickly began to ache, but adrenaline and ecstacy soon pushed it to the back of my mind. I couldn't contain myself any longer as a sudden whoop of joy erupted from my lips. My wife turned and stared at me running towards her, and as I glanced down at the grass, the sun finally touched the horizon, its warm glow making me appear to run on a field forged of pure orange light. Nothing would stop me anymore I thought as my wife got closer and closer, tears springing in her eyes. As the sun began to set further along my journey, the field of light turning darker by the second, I knew that nothing would be able to stop me anymore.

Well, I'm going to share my story now: I've had epilepsy since elementary school, and I may or may not have ADHD. Earlier this year, I started to become emotionally disturbed because of unwanted suicidal thoughts. However, I came out about them and feel better now. Seventh grade Pre-Algebra was the first class I ever had a failing grade in at any point. But I worked to dig myself out of the mess I had made, just like with some other classes. Am I going to face stigma for at least one of these things? Likely. Will I be stopped by any stigma I might face? Well, I might take a decent blow from it thanks to hypersensitivity, but no, of course I won't let it stop me. Treat those around you with respect, no matter who they are. Don't take your time on this world for granted. We all have a purpose, whether it's obvious or not. I've already decided that my purpose... ...will be to help others in some way, no matter what it costs in the end.

If someone asked me what song would be the best theme song for someone's life, I would say this song does. It brings you through all the highs and lows, but keeps you wrapped up in love and hope so you have the strength to continue. I can imagine this song following someone through every stage of their life, right to their last moments, when they look around at their friends and loved ones and recall what an amazing life they had before they go.

Feel the energy in your feet, the laughter in your heart, the freedom in your soul, and ride the light towards the distant sun.” (Thanks for the inspiration RSM and Trailer Music Vibe)

"Go ahead, feel the stars" he told her. With a hesitant step she breaks away from him, wings unfurling as she gazes up to the shimmering lights. She had always dreamed of flying, she had always longed to be among the stars. Reaching the edge of the cliff, she gives him one last look and she sees tears of joy in his eyes as he waved her goodbye. She takes a monumental leap as her wings carry her up, up to where she always knew she was heading. Up to where she always knew she'd one day call home.

“Today is a solemn day. A day of reflection and solace, when we take the time decide who we are, and what our purpose is. Today is not a day for mourning, but for rejoicing. A day of triumph. Our war is long from over, but now, the balance of power favours those of strong wills and kind hearts. We have sacrificed so much to get to where we are. You have sacrificed so much. But today is not a day of sorrow. Today we rise, unified under one common purpose. Today we rise, united not as one people, but as an alliance of countless peoples with the same roots and desires. So join me. Rise, and fly with me. One last time.” -dang, i really need to listen to this stuff when I have to write speeches....

Did you hear it? Did you feel it? Can you see the beauty? Do you understand your duty? The duty of a light dancer, One who will shine the light. One who will be the answer, Telling everyone, "It will be alright!" This is the goal you must take, The goal of a risen hero, A goal you will never break, For you're no longer a zero. I urge you to cast your light wherever you may go, To prove to the world in the darkest times you can glow! You have an important mission, The calling is still waiting. You don't need anyone's permission, There is no need to be hesitating. Your destiny is here, Right at the tips of your fingers. So please don't disappear, Don't be the one who lingers. This is your calling rise up and shine! Do not turn this offer down do not decline! For your future is looking bright! The future of riding the light. This song makes me think about the final moments of our lives. That Jesus is going to come for us and we are going to ride the light to heaven. As we do we see such wonder and joy from our life. The most beautiful, poignant and funniest moments of our lives. We hear our loved ones saying goodbye as we are lifted higher than we ever thought possible. Then Jesus says "Welcome home my child" and you break through the threshold of heaven and see such beauty and wonder. You also see all of your loved ones who have passed before you.

This music can make you cry an ocean, not a river. It's too beautiful not to hear. I wonder why a majority of people prefer music with lyrics that don't even make sense and can influence you in a bad way, rather than listening to these type of music wherein you don't need lyrics to begin with. The sun set and, when the last spark of light went out, everything was clear to him. He opened the palm of his hand in front of him and after a few moments the darkness was pervaded by beams of intense light. He closed his eyes and when he opened them he was himself a ray of light. But it didn't move in a straight line, it curved and changed direction at breakneck speeds. He whirled around his enemies without them being able to even see him, he immediately understood that he was so fast that he could defeat them. A moment later it was all over, he had won, he had saved them.
