I looked at this when I was buying Just a Cup on Axel's website. Looks interesting. I rarely perform for groups of people but still might get this. I've been doing the 52 to1 deck for a while and love that-- not a tossed out deck but also a mind reading card effect. Thanks Steve!!!

Couple thoughts. I'm a full-time working pro. 1) has some smart stuff going on. With that said, if your audience management and acting skills or anything less than high level don't think you're going to pull this off effectively. You will not come off like a mind reader put rather someone struggling to manage an obviously gimmicked "situation" even if they can't imagine how ( deck) or with whom (i.e. set-up plants)... 2) even if you're acting in audience management is good, if you don't put in the time to flawlessly deliver the Divination process dont do this trick 3) it is my personal opinion that, well clever, the opening phase of showing all the cards differently and shuffling and so forth seems to be running when you're not being chased. Look at this very innocent deck, here, let me show you how innocent over and over. This kind of stuff often works and other times makes the United States that it surely must be gimmicked... your mileage may vary 4) koran, cornelius, osterlind etc etc. . All the greats and good ones good ones have repeating card sequence deck mind reading routines that I believe are many ways cleaner and stronger. I mean, over demonstrating the normal factor of a deck of cards and then wrapping it in rubber bands to have a card selected is far from normal to layman. Whereas taking a deck of cards and giving it a quick Shuffle or a couple of cards and spreading it search that the audience can clearly see, (incorrectly though!) that they are all different cards, and then select one in their mind freely... that's about as natural as it gets. But again, even with these type of decks one must have Top Notch acting skills and lots of times and preferably live performances to really make something like this work. When it does though, it's about as good as it gets. Final thoughts, this has a lot of good thinking in it but with little research or just buying something like the radar deck you may likely be in a better position imho...

Hey Alan. There are no sleights, but a fair bit of practice and rehearsal is needed. I'll speak about this on the live show tonight.
