I used to manage a gas station and we had a VERY new tank driver deliver fuel to our store. He dumped 7000 gallons of diesel in one of my 12000 gallon gasoline tanks and DIDN'T TELL ANYONE. Within the first 6 hours we had over a dozen complaints. There ended up being nearly 60 people affected. The fuel company's insurance paid for all the repairs but it affected people's trust of my station for a months. Supposedly the driver said he "couldn't find" our diesel tanks to fill (either he parked on top of the cover and didn't want to move or did not look for it). For those who don't know, generally, the covers to the tanks are color coded. So he knew he was dumping in the wrong tank.

@@GSBarlevThe lion was tortured and the Golden Eagle is actually a. Red Tailed Hawk isn't it because eagles rarely make noise and when they do it's more of a squawk or a beaking sound. I'll also add there's no such thing as Slow motion audio. Audio comes in sound waves and they cannot be slowed down so what people do is alter the original audio or substitute with something else. In older movies this was mostly record a scratch sound returning to original sound and now it's all substitute audio design. Most singers use extreme amounts of auto tune and studio editing because artists like a Miley Cyrus have the voice of a waffle house waitress. And pretty much every conceivable rhythm has been made so nearly all music is sampling older music, similarly to how birds pass songs through generation. Juat gonna see alot of videos or reverse engineer what could cause the issues. Most of the time it's something simple, I work on my own cars & bikes. Saves me money & I know it's done right. I do things by the book which would cost alot of money, done my own fork seals, bearings, wiring, oil changes, problem finding ect. It's like therapy for me, I have worked on other poeples cars / bikes but doesn't feel same. Not as satisfying, anyone can learn but you have to be willing to learn. Figuring out what's the issue is the hardest part. Taking things apart & buying new things is easy. Knowing smells, sounds, touch (vibrations ect), then your eyes for visual problems. A master will know exactly what's up just by a smell or point them in the right direction. Which does take alot of knowledge. There is simple smells like your clutch, breaks, fluid. It only looks easy when they point it out but took them years at least for me to figure out why those things were happening. Then people wonder why they're so expensive, it's just like a doctor... they'll give you Antibiotics to fight the infection. Ones that will kill the bad bacteria the fastest, might of only been a 10min appointment but you paid lets say 250. You pay for their knowledge, not the time spent. Just some people don't understand this. It's one of the reasons why I don't wanna be a mechanic as people always would fight me about the price so it's just a headache & they won't understand anyway. making sure your vehicles are serviced & replace the used parts when needed. Using the correct oil ect is how you keep your motor happy. Otherwise if you neglect it, it'll fall apart. I do all that myself as it's pretty simple, only things I wouldn't touch is the engine valve clearance ect. Rather pay the money and get it done right.

If something stumps her, she pauses and thinks for a bit and comes up with the most logical and plausible assessment to what might have caused the issue. She's not recalling her previous work experiences and blurt out the fix she applied, but she's really trying to figure out what parts are supposed to do what, and what effects might that have been if that part was defective. Yo! We had a super similar issue to the one at 10:20. One of our oldest customers had a Ducati 999 with 90,000 miles (dude was awesome). He had lowsided around 10,000 miles on the left side of the bike, where the ECU and main wiring harness are. around 80,000 miles the bike started randomly shutting down on him. We noticed on a test ride that the exhaust was LEAKING GAS. Pulled off the air ducts and the injectors would just lock wide open randomly and spray fuel in like a fire hose. It turned out that all those years ago the crank position sensor wire got pinched and had been corroding for all those years. Normally that might show up as an ignition issue, because it is the crank sensor. The triple 9 was batch fire though, so, they use the CPS for fuel as well and don't have a cam position sensor (1/2 the fuel every time the crank goes around). Replaced the wires and connector with a plug from a scrap harness we had (2021 Diavel had the same plug coincidentally) and the dude was on the road again.

Don’t undercoat your car each year. That’s not good advice. It’s either going to trap in moisture and cause more rust, or just be a nightmare to work on/maintain. You can use an undercarriage spray wax/dressing which is just a slightly different spray on wax that gives you a little extra protection. But like most spray on wax they don’t hold up well for more than a week or so. Anywhere with freezing temperatures get a car wash with undercarriage washing after every major snow event, and every time things get back above freezing again. The salt will react to moisture to cause more rust. When it’s really cold it’s fine as ice and snow will just come off and the air is really dry. When it’s warm there is no need for salt and things dry out on their own. It’s when stuff transitions back and forth is then key problem. Rust really needs iron/steel, air, and some amount of moisture. Salt, minerals, and acidic compounds from city smog and stuff are all accelerants that tend to allow deeper penetration and putting/damage of metal. Also if you live or drive within 5-10 miles of coastal waters you need to wash your car very often (especially when wet/humid out). The wind will continually deposit small a small coating of salt on everything and that combined with any moisture will lead to rust. Ocean salt spray don’t carry much more than a few miles (usually) however, so if your not within a short hop to the coast you don’t need to worry much.

Correct me if Im wrong, but arent diesel pump nozzles bugger than gasoline ones so you cant accidently fill a gas car with diesel like the last clip? If im right, that means the wife somehow fought and forced it into that filler neck, or she like... dribbled it in lol
@sniperfi4532 Жыл бұрын
Depends if it’s high flow or not. At least where I’m from they’re the same size, however the latch that holds it to the pump requires two hands to release and it’s covered in !!!DIESEL!!!! Signs.

I come here for this comment. I drive a diesel-fueled delivery truck for a living. In my state, every diesel nozzle I've seen has a larger diameter so it won't fit in a gasoline filler hole to make it impossible to make that mistake. Also, like the other replier, the handle is COVERED with green diesel markings making it difficult to not know you're grabbing the wrong juice.
@jaskajokunen3716 Жыл бұрын
@@red_bearded_brian In my country if diesel nozzle is also bigger/different, you can still push it into a gas system but you gotta use alot of force so you should notice it already if it doesnt fit lol.

I refuse to believe that the turbo just need the charge pipe reattached to fix that noise and smoke. That turbo sounded like it was gone and the bearing was roasted.

My company has a fleet and we used to have a diesel Dodge branded MB Sprinter. One of my drivers put gasoline in it one day, immediately noticed something was wrong after starting it, then DROVE IT a mile back to the shop where he proceeded to let it idle until the engine shut off. I had no hope for the engine but we tried anyway. Got all the gas out, flushed everything with diesel as much as we could. Dumped the oil and changed it (because it was also full of gas), then started it back up and it ran another 13K miles before I sold it. I was completely amazed the thing ran with no apparent issues at all.

The truck one depending on how old the truck is mentioned in the video could be a spinning s,cam inside the brake drum lining. I have had a similar thing although it wasn't that aggressive. And it was a jumping/spinning s cam. They are what pushes the brake pads into the linings and cause of the s shape they sometimes let go so you get the s flattening out which in turn back pressures the pedal with air.. Maybe..

It could be the brake booster vacuum pump assuming your car has one driven by the overhead camshaft.

My son put diesel in our car when he was ten. I went inside the gas station to use the bathroom and told him to take care of filling the car up with gas. It ended up costing me a little over a $1000. As I was driving away, I could smell a sulfur smell and began asking him questions. I ended up having the car towed to our mechanic from the side of the road. I now have one more blackmail story for him if he ever pisses me off! 😁
@Isperada Жыл бұрын
why did you leave a 10 year old to fill your car? sorry but that sounds like asking for trouble. 😅
@ScottCooper136 Жыл бұрын
@@Isperada I started filling my parents cars up with gas when I was 6. Just figured he couldn't screw that up. When I was a kid, we had regular, unleaded and diesel and I never put the wrong gas in.

@@ScottCooper136 fair enough, its just that I too had no clue what the different was for a long time. The only reason i didnt get diesel was because I picked the lowest number. I just figured diesel was fancy gass. 😅

speaking of the neutral safety switch, for my 2014 chevy impala, if there is no power as in the battery is dead, you are neither getting that car into neutral or the key back without the dissassembly of the dash or center console, to depress either of the two safety release switches

Mercedes tech here. That video clip with the cluster being a Christmas tree. That transmission leak through the trans connector is a super common issue on all benz with the 722.6 transmissions. Fills TCM and kills the CAN network 😂, I wouldn’t do it to a customers car but one I’ve bought I’ve just removed the TCM and flushed with with alcohol, let it dry and plug it back in then replace the failed trans connector Oring and let her ride 😂
