I bought my son a bottle of GIT when he was 16 & it immediately became his signature. He is now 30 & hasn't worn anything else since. It's GIT or nothing for him! It's literally that special. I smelled Royal Oud today for the first time ,, that shit hit me so hard on first whiff that I froze up right in front of the rep who sprayed it LOLOL. Smelled like an alcoholic shot of some sort: maybe whisky or bourbon. I want to go smell it again!

In my opinion Green Irish Tweed is not only the best Creed fragrance, it's one of the best fragrances period. Second only to PDM Layton. I own two other Creed fragrances, Aventus and Virgin Island Water. Aventus is good but Virgin Island Water is otherworldly. As much as Green Irish Tweed transports you to the green rolling hills of Ireland in Spring, Virgin Island Water transports you to the sun drenched beaches of the Caribbean. Highly recommend buying both if you can afford it, but if you can only afford one, go with Green Irish Tweed. It's much more versatile.

Silver Mountain water is my #1, for me it was love at first smell. I bought Irish Tweed but I honestly really don't like it, it just smells like a fresh cut lawn which I don't want on me. Virgin Island Water smells like a paint shop which I also don't like. The other's on your list (minus Bois de Portugal which I have not smelled) are good and I would recommend them to someone looking to buy a cologne

Aventus is king for me. I also love Aventus Cologne for the heat and Royal Oud for the cold (Royal Oud 14A01 lasts FOREVER). Millesime and Erolfa are great, but I don’t own them yet. Millesime lasted even longer than some Tom Ford frags on me. My skin loves it!

Royal Oud reminds me of how I smelled after getting a haircut when I was a kid over 50 years ago. It might have been the talc powder the barber applied at the end that had that fragrance. Millesime Imperial smells great but same complaint here--doesn't last. I don't know which is my favorite between VIW, GIT or Aventus, but I wear VIM the most, by far--almost every day I go outside in the late spring through the end of the summer.

I own or have owned most of these. My Creed in order: 1. Green Irish Tweed (Seasonal but amazing) 2. Aventus (20e01n is what I own) Batches do make a difference but I wouldn't go chasing a batches. The ones that have a pledge cleaner opening I don't like much 3. Himalaya (Clean, Fresh and uplifting) I smell/feel clean with this. 4. Erolfa (Great and might be higher if it had more projection. Sits too close for me) 5. Bois du Portugal Classic and elegant but slightly dated. 6. Royal Oud Goes up and down my list. Have to like cedar and opening can be harsh but dry down is nice. 7. Aventus Cologne fresh but doesn't resonate with me. Good but boring. overpriced for similar DNA available. 8. Original Vetiver love it but overpriced for a vetiver...I'd chose other vetiver ones before it 9. Royal Water clean soapy but also a little cleaner smelling at times. Like opening more than dry down. 10. Silver Mountain Water decent but the Armaf version is just as good and rarely wear this. Unisex 11. Millesime Imperial just does not work on my skin similar to D&G light blue Eau Intense doesn't work on me either but okay on others.. Too sea salty. 12. Virgin Island Water (not a big fan of coconut) 13. Original Santal (like MB Individual better even if synthetic) 14. Viking (hated old spice and this is a updated more spicy version) Not rated or Never tried Viking Cologne Royal Mayfair Neroli Sauvage Taberome (can't find it) Spice & wood (expensive)

My top 5 from bottom to top: Millesime Imperial, Virgin Island Water, Green Irish Tweed, Original Santal, Aventus. I got into Creed in 2010 so gotta special place for Aventus. Very versatile with great longevity and projection. Original Santal is just amazing. I feel it is unisex. Not versatile but great in winter and special nights out. Love the cinnamon in it. GIT is a stalwart. It has that utilitarian thing going on. I can go to work in it, wear it at night, summer, winter. I think of it as Creeds backbone fragrance. Dependable and enduring like the company. Old and young can wear it! Virgin Island Water is a yummy, fun, inspiring scent. I wore it in Spain the summer of 2012 which included Ibiza for Avicii's first performance in the country at Club Ushuaia. Had to spray myself quite a bit, throughout the day, but it was worth it. I can see wearing it in tropical countries as well. Millesime Imperial was perfect for my visit to Rio de Janeiro for New Year's Eve 2020. Salty, fruity scents fit perfect lying on the beach drinking caipirinhas in Ipanema!

I have Aventus and Green Irish Tweed. I too put GIT higher than Aventus. For some reason Aventus, some days, reminds me of freshly mowed grass. Not necessarily a bad smell, but not one I care to wear. It must be body chemistry, because it usually smells great. Whereas GIT, I can wear all the time and never smells off.

Was able to try Silver Mtn Water and Millesime Imperial today, 1 spray of each on the inside of each arm. SWM was hard to smell 10 mins after. I can still smell Millisime 3 hours later, so if you had a few sprays it would be fine. The smell of Millesime was spot on, what a great cirtus fresh scent. Definitely adding it to my list.

I have both, and have some inconsistencies in the initial sample vs full bottles. My MI sample smelled awesome, but was gone in an hour. My full bottle lasts 5 - 7 hours, but isn't as intriguing as the sample. Same story with SMW. Still love them both though.

I think its a good review. Havent smelled every Creed fragrance what you got in your collection, but i own Aventus, Original Santal, Silver Mountain Water and i will buy Aventus Cologne in couple of weeks. For me the king is Aventus, i just love how it smells, Original Santal is strong af and yesterday i just bought Silver Mountain Water with the metal cap and i had pretty good longevity with just one spray from the store, it lasted maybe 7 hours which is very good for the Creed fragrance. Also i read somewhere that Creed fragrances you just need to let them macerate and after some months they will be stronger and i can confirm that with my last bottle of Aventus from January 2024. Sometimes i get even 8 hours from that, sometimes just 4 hours, alsa depends from weather i think.

SMW - My first niche. Unique. Experience it. MI - Same perfumer as SMW. Fun and unique. Himalaya - Reminds me of GIT. More modern and versatile. As masculine. Less formal and potent. The top place shifts depending on my mood. The others: Royal Water - For clean, responsible men. Can't see people younger than 25 reaching for it. I like though. Aventus - It's pretty good. Never got the hype. A lot of people think this is the pinnacle of masculine fragrance. It's masculine, but nowhere close to a lot barbershop scents on the market. Green Irish Tweed - A better Coolwater. For upstanding gentlemen. What you would want your attorney to smell like. Maybe a bit harsh to my nose, but still well crafted.

So far I've only smelled Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, and Millesime Imperial from Creed. The first two didn't do much for me, with Green Irish Tweed smelling like a pine tree in a bottle, basically, and Aventus was just ok, but nothing special. I did like the freshness & citrus smell of Millesime Imperial, I must say, but I've read longevity is hit & miss.

Tried Green Irish Tweed a couple times and I must say I don’t like it very much. It’s very unique, but on the dry-down it’s got a green scent which, and maybe I don’t have the vocabulary to describe it better, reminds me of freshly cut parsley. It’s not bad but I can’t say I enjoy it. A bit surprised that it’s so universally praised.

There is another big advantage of trying fragrances out other than seeing how long it lasts on your skin and if you really like it. When you go to your local store and you ask for a sample and maybe you talk a bit more with the employees about what other fragrances you have it shows that you are more knowledgable than the average person that just goes in, tries a few fragrances on paper strips and buys whatever they recommend to you. It shows you are not the guy they can just recommend DIOR Sauvage to and he will buy it. And they might remember you the next time walk in and give you a much better consultation than they do if you are just a standard customer.

I want to say thank you for being up front and very honest for the Creed line up and back history of how it was formed I never knew that perfumes and colognes have rich a rooted history and a lot of facts and great info for a guy like me that don't know anything of this So I'm just started to know this and writing all this down so I'll choice very carefully from price range and different scents

I have GIT and Aventus. They have different vibes and depending on my mood, either choice is like a superhero cape 😂 A the right fragrance tops off the look for the occasion. Mardi Gras ball in white tie and tails, the Green Irish Tweed was perfect.

I got into aventus wayyy too late. My bottle is weak. I love the opening but it doesn’t perform. So usually if I do Spray it it’s as a top layer to another fragrance so that I can smell the opening. Or I’ll wear it on a day where I don’t care much for fragrance but still care lol. My Aventus cologne performs better for me. I’m looking to buy another creed bottle but longevity has been keeping me from pulling the trigger and I’m not the type of guy who needs 8 hrs. 6 hrs of longevity is enough for me.

I’m so glad I didn’t blind buy any of these fragrances! I have Aventus and it’s one of my go to scents but after watching a few of those videos I went to the Creed stall and tested all of them! I only liked Santal but it reminded me of a nit soap we used to have when I was at school! It’s been a big eye opener for me so I recommend you try before you buy!

Because of the drop in performance of Creeds recent batches, clone houses like Parfum Vintage have become very essential these days for their high end clones which out perform the whole Creed line..

If you can't afford Creed Original Santal may I suggest Mont Blanc Individuel? It doesn't smell exactly the same but it gets very close [it's about 85% similar].

Thanks for the brief history of CREED. Personally Aventus ranks #1 even though I haven't smelled all 16 of them. The prices are borderline criminal!!! LOL. This line of colognes are made for the wealthy people.
