hmmmm.... It is not an easy task to judge this accurately and everyone has their own preferences. But Dylan Stark's part was so fresh as he integrated his BMX skills extremely well into his MTB riding. He also took extreme risks (which of course everyone did), but the mix in his part is simply outstanding in my opinion. We have MTBers and BMXers here and effectively everyone saw Stark take gold by a large margin. Behind that it gets more nuanced, definitely, but 1st place belongs to Stark!

TVS definitely blew me away with his part! Some serious bangers! Kade Edwards or Mcduff were probably my 2nd favorite. But Dylan Stark also had some cool stunts. The other riders had some awesome stuff as well so props to everyone! It was cool to see the winner after seeing the videos a while ago.

In my opinion the video parts should be longer 90 seconds isn’t enough to add multiple angles and creative shots the videos feel cramped. It would be better if they were 2:30-3:30 minute parts

I think TVS deserved the W. Crazy tricks in a proper MTB setting. Dirt, rock, and wood terrain. Street elements are cool, but that’s urban riding. The judging criteria has to be crystal clear for riders/builders…

I loved all of these with their own style and take on it! Dylan's long jump had me shttng my pants, Tom's style was like kung fu mid air, Mat's flip onto the crane with all the things that could go wrong with the rocks underneath him, Remy's thing fellt more like a chill old school art piece and Kade fellt like the wild card and I like how we got to see how much effort was put in and he really did ride hard with style. All in all I could not even atempt to judge this 🤣

Remy's part was the best as a mtb video imo. Not at all a competition run, but as a video part it gave me goosebumps and made me want to ride more than any of the other parts.

Agree with 90% I think what hurts his chances is there is no flow, a lot of his tricks landings hit hard and kind of flat. I am sure he blew a tire in a couple of his landings. Like Olympic diving it’s not just the trick it’s the take off, the divers form both during trick and landing, the spot during the dive that most divers get point reduction is the amount of splash when entering the water. It’s pretty much the same deal when judging videos of this caliber.

@@MachuDidgeridoo I don’t deny his insanity either, that guy is on another level. But when we’re talking about “real mtb” Dylan’s part is as grassroots as it gets. No fancy builds. No airbag practice (like TVS) no hate on that but let’s just keep it REAL! Dylan’s crashes prove how much gnarlier his part was. He could have died like 3 times. While those other guys were dialing there tricks in with airbags, he was out puttin his life on the line for a majority of clips.

@@shane_ohara51 I think the issue is that there doesn’t seem to be any clear rules here. There’s a very large slope style + manicured jumps type of vibe on almost all of these which is weird. I was expecting actual MTB riding. Stark was good but I think he should’ve added more tricks, more MTB in the woods as well.

Yo! Awesome to see Dylan getting a medal for his part, but I feel like he should of won, or at least got silver. X Games is short for Extreme Games, and as far as I'm concerned Dylan went the most extreme overall. All the unique locations along with the risks involved, with not just getting the shot landing the trick, or God forbid getting injured, but also the risk of getting kicked out or in trouble for just being at some of those spots, adds a different layer of extreme that set his part above the rest.

I can't take the hosts they are so over the top happy and hyped. I don't know how many takes but I get the feeling the director just kept saying more energy, It would be so much better if they talked like real humans and not puppet happy gimmicks. Nicoli has so much experience he does need to add BS hype. Why your trying to make theses guys into bimbos I don't know. Theses are amazing athletes performing sears and dangerous stunts lets show them the respect and serious attitude they deserve. Te judges and riders are so much more honest and there for are way more cool and easy to listen too. I think they got the winner right though. The stunts and the video eddit blue the rest out of the game! You have to have both, great stunts and a great video and film eddit. Award goes to the team.
