May I please say that this channel is for those who love food and who enjoys nostalgic moments you get when you watch Real Nice walking around familiar places. What it’s not for is those who have racial slurs, biased political agendas, rude and utterly disrespectful comments. I thoroughly enjoy watching you cook all those delicious meals. Please keep up the great work. ❤️😍

Why don't you guys return home? There are lots of Guyanaese on many websites saying they left for North America as kids about 40 years ago who have fond memories. It's an interesting country for it's the only English speaking South American country and is a lush green tropical one teaming with life. The city doesn't look appealing like shown in this video.

@Tube Specific .. well some of us would like to. But, while I have a license to carry a gun hear in the U.S. I don’t have one in Guyana. From what I hear about the crime in Guyana, I would feel like I need one. Plus the flights are overpriced, if I’m going to be paying that much, then it better be worth it. Guyanese people need to clean up the country if they expect us to return and spend money and invest in the country. All a we Guyanese living in foreign have a lot money saved up. We would love to invest in we former country, and see de place grow. But y’all not making it too welcome for we. I tell you what, y’all fix up de place and I gan make it me #1 tourist destination for me an me family.

Guyana has a much more mixed culture even tough it doesn't seem that way (not just racially). The mixed and creole culture that existed in Jamaica was thrown away for Yardi in the 1970s

Some places haven't changed around Stabroek. Nice video and good information on the Malali. I used that vessel lots of times years ago to transport survey equipment and crew to West Coast for Sea Defense purposes. Myself and two other Surveyors did the work for the approaches to the floating bridge across the demerara river. After that we used the bridge to access WB, WC and then onto Parika to access Essequibo. Years ago and memories past. I long to return ... lots of collegues have passed on both in Guyana and Canada. Recently, Bishun Dyal who was the Superintendent of Cadastral surveys passed away in Canada. I'm now convinced that I have to see Guyana again in the near future. Cheers.

As to Georgetown is concerned it looks disorganized, vendors and food stands taking the public space leaving actually no space for people to walk or cars to go through and besides for this purpose the streets look so narrow. The government buildings, the cathedral and other churches look very nice. @@RealNiceGuyana thank you! You should be a tour guide?! Do you recommended people visiting alone? I want to see my family’s country but they have all moved from there, would like to just book a nice hotel and book all the tours maybe? Shame I won’t get to experience the night life/party life lol

Not a bad idea. People do visit alone, but like every other country you have to be careful when moving around. The Tower Hotel is in the heart of downtown Georgetown. There is also The Marriot , Pegasus to name a few which is around the city. You can plan and get more info and maybe search a touring company online. There are those with reviews to help you choose.
