This is an amazing story. I listened to it on Spotify. He is a true hero. Just listening to the fact that he said home health came by 3 times per week and the rest of the time, his wife was cleaning his tracheotomy multiple times per day and grinding his food and meds around the clock infuriates me. Our servicemen should have around the clock care at Walter Reed, then at home. 24 hours per day for as long as it takes. It is despicable how our servicemen and women are treated.

I’m newly married, just over 6 months, but my wife and I dated on and off for about a decade previously. I couldn’t imagine the sense of relief this man felt when there was zero hesitation in his wife when she saw him.
