🤔 Doesn’t seem like the deal was the real issue on this one. It was Choc coming fresh into the game trying to call shots. Then when Heav decided he didn’t wanna put up with the attitude, they tried to call foul. I think it’s disgusting for him to blame Heav’s death on karma. Heav gave them a golden opportunity, and they blew it because they couldn’t take his guidance. 🙄

@@CodyCole80 . What was Heavy D's guidance to Soul For Real?
@CodyCole802 жыл бұрын
@@jamiltyson1571 🤔 When Heav picked them up and put them on, he’d been in the game close to 10 years by then. Do I have to spell it out? Anytime someone has years of experience on you, they have more wisdom within whatever industry. Why not just take Heav’s advice and let Jase lead, especially since he sung lead on the original single? That’s makes more since musically and for marketing. To me, it seems Choc wanted to make sure he got some shine instead of just taking Heav’s instruction (guidance) and ended up blowing the support Heav once had for them. They only had one single out, and he had the nerve to wanna argue with the boss: FOOLISH! 🙄

I've always heard nothing but positive things about Heavy D up until this video. So he had a difference of opinion with a group member, but to never want to speak to them again? That's a bit extreme and shady on Heavy's part. I guess there are two sides to anyone. I hate how the industry allowed Soul For Real to crash and burn so fast. They just don't care at ALL! Be letting all of this talent fall off like this! I feel so bad for the artists. You think you'll be doing this for a living for the rest of your life, only to release one big commercial album and be dropped, then have to go back to normal life like nothing ever happened. Going back to the struggle and working a regular 9-5 would be somewhat traumatic initially I'd imagine.

I believe everyone should have a backup plan for their career. Also, knowing that the entertainment industry is fickle… I would recommend that if a person/group enjoys entertaining, do it for the love of entertaining, and not for the accolades. That means, so what if you don’t make the charts… I am sure there are many venues to showcase your talent.

I remember Candy Rain coming out back when I was a 10th grader. I even bought a cassette single of it. I also had a chance to see them perform in 2018 in Long Beach, CA. With other great R&B artist like Keith Sweat, Jodeci ,Jon B ,Jagged Edge, Color Me Badd etc.

The lesson I take from it is to respect your elders and be grateful to those who have helped you. RIP Heavy D❤

Were they really helped if they ended up broke, and no rights to their music?

this the comment i was looking for ... when you doing business and you knows nothing bout it you dont go in there saying what you will and will not do thats literally bad business and they F'd theirselves its not really heavy d fault if they woulda listen to heavy they woulda gone big .... Heavy had the jackson 5 next up in his thoughts and all they fans did i mean come on you cant blame heavy like he intentionally didnt want no dealings with them. Thats just like you tryna run a business and you hire a rookie and he comes in saying what he will and will not do like come on now lets keep it a buck out here

How many artists have to be taken advantage of by label lawyers for artists to realize that they should hire their own lawyers and invest their own money and hiring a lawyer? It’s an obvious conflict of interest🤷🏽♀️
